Due to the increased coverage in the media this week, we believe it is important to highlight the significant changes happening within the funeral profession and the standards that reputable funeral directors are expected to meet.

As NAFD members, we operate under a strict professional Code of Practice that extends significantly beyond the minimum legal requirements, to ensure the best possible care of deceased people.

Every person entrusted to our care is treated with the utmost dignity, respect and security at all times.

As a family business with almost 100 years of heritage, we strongly support the drive towards consistent professional standards throughout the funeral sector.

Bereaved families deserve the highest level of care, funeral directors should be able to demonstrate this through adherence to independently monitored professional standards. All of our funeral homes have received an unannounced inspection by the NAFD this year and exceeded the expected standards.

We believe that relationships are built on trust, openness and personal contact, and we operate an open-door policy at all our premises. Should you wish to learn more about our services, meet our team or view our facilities, you would be most welcome to visit us at any time.

Our funeral director Jamie arrived at work today thinking he’d managed to keep his birthday quiet but no such luck 😀. Some terrible singing, birthday cake and very dubious presents (including his beautiful headband) was just what he needed really.

It was a beautiful day for the summer fair at South Leicester Memorial Park in aid of Loros.

We had a full table of various bottles from all of the lovely people that took the time to pop in drop off donations 😊.

The park looks so beautiful at this time of year and the breeze, although challenging when managing tombola tickets, was very welcome in the sunshine ☀️
