⚠️ Know the signs of ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer symptoms can be vague and easy to overlook, but knowing what to look out for could make a real difference.

Common symptoms include:
🔹 Persistent bloating
🔹 Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
🔹 A swollen tummy
🔹 Needing to p*e more often
🔹 Ongoing tummy or pelvic discomfort

It’s unlikely to be cancer, but it’s important to speak to your GP if these symptoms are new, unusual, or happen frequently (more than 12 times a month).

💙 Trust your body – if something doesn’t feel right, get it checked.

🗨️Booking a smear test? I doubt I’m eligible.💬

It’s a common thought, but many people who are eligible for cervical screening don’t realise they are.

If you have a cervix and are aged 25–64, you will be invited for cervical screening through your GP. This includes people who identify as trans or non-binary, and people who may not currently be sexually active.

Cervical screening is not a test for cancer, it helps prevent it by detecting abnormal cells early.

If you’ve received your invite, please book your appointment. Removing the doubt could protect your health.

Ovarian cancer symptoms can be easy to miss because they’re often the same as everyday conditions.

That’s why it’s important to know what to look out for – and to trust your instincts if something doesn’t feel quite right.

Common symptoms include:
🔹Persistent bloating or a swollen tummy
🔹Pain or discomfort in your tummy or pelvis
🔹Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
🔹Needing to p*e more often or urgently

You might also notice changes such as ongoing tiredness, changes to your bowel habits, or unexplained weight loss.

Most of the time, these symptoms will not be caused by cancer. But if they are new for you, happen frequently (around 12 times a month), or don’t go away, it’s important to speak to your GP.

Getting checked early can help give you peace of mind or get you the support you need sooner.

You’re not wasting anyone’s time – you know your body best. 💛
