Our residents had a wonderful time taking part in a ball game, keeping active while enjoying plenty of smiles and teamwork along the way.

Activities like these are a great way to promote physical wellbeing, social interaction, and most importantly, have fun together. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and cheering each other on!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Maggie, a much-loved resident of Cherrytree Care Home.

Maggie touched the lives of so many with her warmth, strength, and kindness. In her final weeks, we were privileged to help fulfil a special wish that was close to her heart – a visit to Leicester City Football Club, where she was able to reconnect with treasured family memories and create lasting moments with those she loved.

While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life well lived and the joy, laughter, and stories she shared with everyone around her. Maggie will be remembered fondly by residents, colleagues, friends, and family alike.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Maggie’s loved ones during this difficult time. We hope they find comfort in the many cherished memories they created together and in knowing the profound impact Maggie had on all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Maggie. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 💙

🎉 More Wonderful Memories from Ted's 106th Birthday Celebration! 🎉

We're still smiling as we look back on the incredible celebrations for Ted's 106th birthday—a truly remarkable milestone.

Ted had one special birthday wish: to enjoy a pint at his local pub, The Railway. We're delighted to say his wish came true, and he thoroughly enjoyed raising a glass of John Smith's to celebrate 106 amazing years! 🍻

The celebrations didn't stop there. Ted was overwhelmed by the kindness of the local community, receiving more than 200 birthday cards filled with warm wishes, as well as a very special birthday card from His Majesty The King.

It was a day filled with laughter, friendship, and heartfelt moments that Ted, his family, and everyone at Cherry Tree Care Home will cherish for years to come.

Happy 106th Birthday once again, Ted—you are an inspiration to us all! 💚

A visit from furry friends always brightens the day 🐾💚

Our residents had a fantastic time during our Doggy Day Wellbeing Session, enjoying plenty of affection, companionship, and laughter along the way.

Animals have a unique way of bringing people together. Their presence can encourage conversation, support emotional wellbeing, boost mood, and create a calm and comforting environment. For many residents, these visits provide moments of joy that stay with them long after the session has ended.

This week, everyone at Cherry Tree Care Home had the pleasure of celebrating Ted’s incredible 106th birthday surrounded by residents, staff, and loved ones.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate every chapter of life and create opportunities for residents to feel valued, appreciated, and surrounded by happiness. The smiles, conversations, and joy shared throughout the day made it a celebration to remember.
