WE’VE MOVED 🐴🌿

The horses are officially in their new home in Frisby on the Wreake. ❤️

A long day for everyone but Frosty and Olly settled so quickly.

A BIG thank you to Matt Bryan for transporting.

Moving horses from one place to another might sound quite straightforward but for me its something much bigger.

It is the beginning of a completely new chapter for EquineCoach, but I would like to thank everyone who has been part of the journey since the beginning. Gill Leach in particular, those past and present at Kindred Spirits, Samantha Dean who is part of the new journey and a special lady who has allowed us to take over her field with so much kindness and support.

Most importantly my clients who are absolutely amazing, brave people 👏

For a long time, I've had a vision of what EquineCoach could become. Not just somewhere to come and work with horses, but a place where people can slow down, reconnect, become more aware of themselves, work with their nervous system, experience somatic and emotional wellbeing and simply feel something different.

Eventually, I want this to grow into a wellbeing and healing centre, bringing together different practitioners, therapies, experiences and events. I am already making connections with people who could become part of that.

The reason I'm talking about the 7 Natural Laws in this post is because I've just finished writing the first draft of a 7-course series based around them.

I've designed it as a first step on the EquineCoach journey, particularly for people who aren't sure yet whether they're ready to explore the side of themselves emotionally.
It's experiential. A chance to come along, experience the horses, try something different, notice what happens and perhaps ‘dip your toe’ in the water without having to dive straight in.

Keep a look out for when we launch them.

The 7 Natural Laws have helped me understand my own journey and how the horses have guided aligns just beautifully.

The Law of Mentalism — everything begins with a thought: The new EquineCoach was a thought before it was a place. I could see it. I could feel it. I could imagine the experiences I wanted people to have here.

The Law of Correspondence — what happens within us is reflected in what happens around us. As my own vision for EquineCoach changed, I knew the environment around us needed to change too.

The Law of Vibration — everything is moving, changing and carrying energy. And this is where the horses have always taught me so much. Horses are experts at reading vibration. They have evolved to notice the tiniest changes in another being, movement, tension, emotion, intention and energy. Because their survival depends upon it.

They don't need us to tell them what we're feeling. They feel it, and I believe they feel far more of what we think, intend and create than we sometimes realise.

So when I say the horses have moved with me into this new vision, I don't mean they were simply loaded up and taken somewhere new. They've been part of this journey all along. They've felt the changes and responded to that energy. I believe they knew this move was coming long before the horsebox arrived.

The Law of Rhythm feels particularly relevant too. Life moves in cycles. There are times to stay, pause, let go and move forward.
To move forward and create what EquineCoach is becoming, I had to leave some things behind that had been part of our journey, let it go.

The Law of Polarity reminds us that every ending creates the possibility of a new beginning.
But the most important thing hasn't changed. The horses are still at the heart of it all. 🐴❤️

Perhaps that's why this move feels so right, because this isn't just my vision, It's something created with them and the people on board.

They don't need me to explain the 7 Natural Laws, a business plan or understand what the wellbeing centre might eventually become.

They already understand something we humans can sometimes forget.
Energy speaks. Intention speaks. Presence speaks. And the horses are listening.

Maybe they've known where we were going all along. ❤️

Welcome to the next chapter of EquineCoach.

What does a session with EquineCoach look like?

A question I'm often asked.
So for those new to our page, let me answer that (long post!).

Session plans and structure sit within our analytical brain. The horses work Somatically (in the body) so they have no interest in any plans I may have for a session (which I learned years ago and simply tore them up!). They simply respond to what is needed at the time, if they are allowed to work at liberty, with choice, which is how EquineCoach works.

That's not to say I don't often start a session with an idea of what we want to achieve, particularly with new clients where we teach techniques as a step process to learn how to reconnect with our felt sense and nervous system in the first few sessions.

So let me give you an example. Yesterday's client has kindly allowed me to use her session. She has been working with us for nearly a year now so is quite used to using the tools needed and very intuitive.

I wanted my client to be reminded that her recent thinking brain or negative self narrative has been triggering her nervous system, rather than her body is having a genuine instinctual response. But I wanted my client to recognise that and put the peices together herself, its more powerful. I never give you the answer directly.

A little explanatory information first.

By helping people reconnect to their felt sense, we can reconnect or refind our authentic self. Who hasn't at least once thought that they don't know who they are anymore?

What is our authentic self? It is the space you inhabit when you are present, sitting with all your emotions but not responding, balanced, grounded and within your felt sense, just like the day you were born.

Any response to emotions would be due to a coping mechanism, a behaviour developed due to trauma or a belief system developed from outside experiences.

Examples maybe judgement, opinion, negative self talk, people pleasing, ego, control, manipulation, entitlement and many more.

Those are not our authentic selves, they are the alternative (person) we created to keep ourselves 'safe' at some point in our life, due to something we required on a base level but were deprived of.

Back to our client. How did I remind her to recognise her response was from her thinking brain interference of her nervous system?

Through authentic self.

My session led her through reconnecting with her felt sense, returning to the Somatic space. I then guided her through some Somatic touch release work with some of the horses that allowed (we only work with those that choose). This creates a perfect healing circle.

'I need to be in the present and balanced for the horses to allow me to help them in that way, they release Somatically, their release triggers our release.'

By release we are meaning what is held as a result of our nervous system in our body.

By horse 3 my client was also feeling in her body where the particular horse needed to release in his. He showed his particular release by first licking and chewing, then several massive yawns and finally a huge cat stretch and a left leg full back stretch. He sighed, shook himself and walked away.

What happened to our client? Well she yawned too, in fact she couldn't stop for several minutes. Her body tension left, her eyes were glowing and she was smiling.

When I asked how she now felt she instantly recognised she was still holding the same emotions she had been when she arrived but through re- balancing the mind and body and sitting in the authentic self state whilst working with the horses, that she was no longer responding through her coping mechanisms and hence her perception of those emotions and the situation was very different.

It was a real reminder about how destructive the negative self talk from the mind can be, but also how empowered we can become when we learn to recognise it and deal with it.

Thank you to the herd yesterday for the brilliant way they got their message across 🦄

So really, each session is tailored to the individual needs at that specific time. Our brain often tells us one thing, our body another. The aim of every session is to step further towards balance.

One of Frostys favourite lessons...Everything in Balance.

Moving day to Frisby on the Wreake for the EquineCoach boys is less than a week away now.

A HUGE thank you to Samantha Dean and Mike Hall for the dawn to (practically midnight) removals of horse 'stuff' to the new location yesterday 🙏

After a morning session I popped over to carry on fence building.

Shelter goes up Monday.

Curious sheep had us chuckling and the French Fancies went down a treat.

Looking forward to working with our new clients who have booked with us since our last Moving Day posts 🙏

Following on from yesterday's big news.

The build started today. The first section of track to house the EquineCoach boys from moving day. The rest we will build as we go.

Shelter space pegged out ready for it to be erected the week before the move on 11th September.

Excited but exhausted 😁. Samantha Dean is a superstar ✨️

We certainly had fun. Some pictures of the day.

Lunch at Frisby Lakes just a few minutes away broke the day nicely.

As a reminder, sessions available at our current Hallaton location up to 9th. Sessions resume from 21st at Frisby on the Wreake.

✨ BIG NEWS FROM EQUINECOACH ✨

After a lot of dreaming, planning, hard work (and a few twists and turns along the way), I can finally share something incredibly exciting.

EquineCoach has secured our own home!

Until now, EquineCoach has operated from a livery establishment. Now, the time has come to take the next step and create something that is truly our own.

We are moving to a new location in Frisby on the Wreake and I’ll be sharing much more about it very soon!

But before I talk about what comes next I'm reminded how indebted I am to the one who started it all.

Frosty.

Frosty isn't just the horse at the heart of EquineCoach. He is the reason EquineCoach exists.

When Frosty came into my life, I was not in a very good place physically or emotionally. He challenged me. His behaviour, his communication, our relationship and why things weren't always as I expected them to be.

What I didn't realise at the time was that Frosty was going to teach me far more about myself than I could ever have imagined.

He taught me about connection, trust, boundaries, emotions, communication, nervous system responses and the importance of listening, not just to what is being said, but to what is being felt.

He opened the door to a completely different way of understanding horses, ourselves and the relationships we have with the world around us.

And that journey became EquineCoach.

So this next chapter isn't just about creating a new place. It's about creating a space that reflects everything that Frosty has taught me.

🌿 A healing and wellbeing centre where people can slow down, reconnect, explore, learn and simply be.

🦄 A place where horses and nature can help us understand ourselves in a different way.

✨ A place where I can welcome guest practitioners and healers, offering experiences such as:

• Crystal healing
• Reiki
• Massage
• Sound baths
• Drumming and rhythm work
• Meditation and mindfulness
• Nature and forest-based experiences
• Somatic and embodied practices
• And other holistic approaches to wellbeing.

There will also be events, workshops and gatherings, creating opportunities to connect, learn and experience different approaches to wellbeing. Building a community where people can feel safe.

And one of the things I'm particularly excited about is
a series of workshops based around the Laws of Nature which I am currently writing.

Exploring the patterns, principles and rhythms we see in nature and what they can teach us about ourselves, our relationships, our wellbeing and the way we move through life.

These will bring together horses, our natural environment, embodied learning and practical experience, creating opportunities to look at life from a different perspective.

There is a lot of planning still to do, but the vision is growing day by day.

And I want to say a huge thank you to Frosty ❤️🦄

For challenging me, teaching me, for making me question what I thought I knew.

For showing me that sometimes the biggest lessons come from simply being present, listening and paying attention.

And for starting a journey that has led us here.

None of this would exist without him.

So, Frosty, this next chapter is for you too. ❤️

📍 Frisby on the Wreake

A new home. A new chapter. A bigger vision.

And hopefully, a place where many more people can experience what horses, nature and connection can teach us.

EquineCoach is growing, but Frosty will always be where it began. My soul mate.

This is just the beginning…

We are still holding sessions at our current location until 9th September. Sessions start again at our new home from 21st September.
