A little visit to the city of London to deliver an EFAW and annual refresher course at the Royal Exchange buildings for SANDS legal.
It was great to be invited back, and great to see the company following the HSE advice of completing annual refresher training for their existing staff while also putting the new staff through the full EFAW course!

Today we delivered an Emergency First Aid at Work course for the Pinnacle Group in Wickford. It was our first time delivering for this organisation, and it was great to have such a keen group who were willing to get stuck in with the training.
It was great to be able to train on their premises, and use some of the narrow corridors to bring in a little realism to the training, people rarely collapse in the middle of an empty room!

Earlier this week we ran a Life-Threatening Bleed course for some of the leaders at 3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scouts. This was in preparation for their upcoming summer camp, and their ongoing array of adventurous activities.
This course covers the use of tourniquets, wound packing with heamostatic gauze, trauma dressing, abdominal dressings and chest seals.
While hopefully the equipment never has to be used, it’s great that the group have access to life threatening bleed kits, and leaders trained in how to use them!
