Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! Hallmark Admiral Court Luxury Care Home residents joined a Trust Links Eco Day workshop that promoted positive, practical ways to living a more sustainable lifestyle. 🌿Trust Links, in partnershop with Milton Community Connection, inspired over twenty participants to create jewellery, make new friends and enjoy a sense of belonging. Iris, an accomplished quilter, had brought an example of her work for the group to admire. The event included a delicious, healthy and environmentally conscious meal! 🍎🥒🍋 Linda - with happy tears in her eyes - said, "This session has really touched me. I have had such a lovely day, thank you all so much!" 🪡 🧵✂️

The Team of the Month Award goes to our kitchen team!!! 🥰

This award is very well deserved, and we would like to give a huge thank you to Keith, Niko, Darren, Jake, Grace, Ang, Mary, Nava, & Matt. 🙌🫶

The last couple of months have certainly tested the kitchen team, especially working through the heatwave! We all managed to keep smiling, keep the food going and, most importantly, keep our residents’ dietary needs at the heart of everything we do.

Admiral Court would like to thank you all for your hard work, dedication, patience, good humour and support. The team have certainly been through challenging days together, but they have continued to give their best and make sure our residents receive the care, meals and dietary support they deserve.

A few words from our Head Chef:👨‍🍳

“I am genuinely so proud to be part of this team. We work hard, we look after each other, we have a laugh and we always do our best for our residents. We’ve certainly been tested by the heatwave, but we’ve come through it together — and I’m pleased to say the only thing that got roasted was the food!”

Hey! My name is Dianah 🥰

I’ve been part of the Admiral family for almost three years. I absolutely love my job and take great pride in making sure our residents are comfortable, happy, well dressed and, most importantly, treated with dignity and respect. 😍

My journey into care began with my grandparents, who I used to help look after. I discovered how much I enjoyed caring for them, and it made me realise that care was my calling.

I love making sure everything is done on time and efficiently, while creating a beautiful environment where our residents feel truly at home. Seeing them happy makes me happy too. 💕

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, travelling, exploring different countries and trying new foods and cultures. I recently visited Poland and have even started learning a little Polish, so I am now able to say hi! to one of my Polish team members — although I’m still practising! 🥘🍜🍲

I love swimming, although I much prefer a pool to the sea… the sea is just a little too big for me! I also enjoy going to the cinema and, really, anything that involves being around good people.🍿🍿

I’m a very proud mum to my son, 26, and daughter, 24, who are both studying Nursing in Poland. So, I have two very good reasons to be proud — and two very good reasons to keep practising my Polish! 🇵🇱

For me, care is all about kindness, dignity, respect and making a positive difference to someone’s day, however big or small. 🫶

Hey! My name is Chloe 🥰

I’ve been part of the Admiral Court family for around eight years, and it was my very first job in care. I can honestly say I still love what I do and feel very lucky to have found a job that is so rewarding. 😍

For me, it’s the little things that can make the biggest difference. Whether it’s doing a resident’s make-up, styling their hair, helping with their jewellery or simply having a chat and making them smile, I love helping people feel comfortable, confident and cared for. The residents mean a lot to me, and knowing I can help someone feel safe and valued is what makes the job so special. 👵🏻👴🏻

I also love being part of such a diverse and caring team. Everyone brings their own stories, cultures and experiences, and I enjoy learning from the wonderful people I work alongside. There’s always plenty of kindness — and usually a good laugh too!💕

Outside of work, I’m a huge lover of history, especially the Tudors and Georgians. I absolutely love visiting castles, historic buildings and interesting places around the UK. My partner and I enjoy exploring together and are currently on a mission to tick as many historic places off our list as possible. There may be a slight obsession with castles involved! 🏰

I have a four-year-old niece who shares my love of castles — although her main interest is dressing up as a princess! We have lots of fun together, and I love seeing the excitement on her face when we visit somewhere new. She definitely makes every castle visit more magical.👸🏼

I enjoy drawing, especially animals, scenery and portraits, as well as gaming.🎨👩‍🎨🖌

For something a little more adventurous, I enjoy wild swimming in lakes, rivers and waterfalls. There’s something incredibly refreshing about being outdoors and surrounded by nature — although I’ll admit, getting into some of those freezing cold waters requires a little bit of courage!🏊🏽‍♀️🥰

We have just won first place for best Hallmark Luxury Care Homes garden in England and jumping for joy! 🌸🏵🌻 "A truly outstanding entry. Admiral Court impressed the judges in every aspect of the competition. Their garden was beautifully maintained, productive and bursting with colour, while residents were genuinely at the heart of every project. They were crowned winners of 'Most Varied Vegetable Patch' with an incredible 48 varieties of fruit, vegetables and herbs, 'Heaviest Vegetable' with a whopping 1,814g, and also achieved a close second place for the tallest sunflower. 🌻
What impressed the judges the most was the whole-home approach to encouraging residents outside. The team had made their own badges with fun unique phrases inviting residents to come outside. Both a conversation starter, an invitation and a reminder". Here are a few pictures from the last 12 months.

☀️ Does it get any better than this? ☀️ A beautiful summer afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, and a little indulgence. 💐🍓 Our "Ladies Do Lunch" gathering had everything needed for the perfect afternoon – refreshing Hugo Spritz, homemade Scotch eggs & homegrown garden salads, Fruit Scones, Victoria Sponge, strawberries and cream, and tables dressed with gingham and fresh flowers.

👑 Lords & Ladies of "The Court" revelled in a Tudor Games Day followed by a Grand Feast where all the homegrown vegetables were hand picked fresh from our gardens, then cooked and prepared by residents! The celebration of summer, involved games of strength, stealth and cunning! The laughter from residents, and team echoed across the grounds, making it an absolute highlight of the season. Events like these truly highlight how active, connected, and vibrant life is at Hallmark Admiral Court Luxury Care Home
