🔌 UK POWER NETWORKS POWER FAILURE – WHITCHURCH SURGERY

Due to a power failure at Whitchurch Surgery, we currently have no electricity and are therefore unable to run our afternoon clinics from Whitchurch.

➡️ All appointments scheduled at Whitchurch Surgery this afternoon have been moved to WINSLOW SURGERY.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately, this is outside of our control, and we appreciate your understanding.

Friends & Family Test
After each consultation a text message is sent out asking about your recent appointment with 3W Health. Overall, how was your experience of our service? This is known as the Friends and Family Test.
We do ask patients to provide a reason for their answer if they would like to and to let us know if there is anything we could have done better – this information is regularly shared with all our staff members so that together we can continue to build on our strengths and improve our services as 3W Health.

September is a time of change for many families. Children may be starting or returning to school, young people beginning college or university, and parents adjusting to new routines too.

This is where social prescribing can help.

Social prescribing looks beyond medical needs and connects people with practical, emotional and community support that can help them manage some of the challenges affecting their health and wellbeing.

Sometimes the support we need is not a prescription. It might be finding the right local group, getting help with financial worries, meeting new people or simply having someone help you work out where to start.

Here is to new beginnings and a positive start to the new academic year. 💚

💚 Social Prescribing: Support Beyond Medicine

Many things that affect our health and wellbeing cannot be treated with medicine alone.

Loneliness, financial worries, housing difficulties, caring responsibilities, social isolation or simply feeling overwhelmed can all have an impact on how we feel.

Social prescribing connects people with practical, emotional and community support that can make a real difference.

A Social Prescribing Link Worker can take time to understand what matters to you and help connect you with appropriate support. This might include:

💚 Social and community groups
💷 Support with money, benefits or debt
🤝 Activities to help reduce loneliness and isolation
🚶 Exercise and physical activity opportunities
💙 Support for carers
🌱 Voluntary and community organisations
😊 Help to build confidence and improve wellbeing

Sometimes the right support is not a prescription. Social prescribing looks at the wider circumstances affecting our health and wellbeing and helps connect people with the support that is right for them.

🩷3W HEALTH ARE PROUD TO BE SUPPORTING THIS GREAT CAUSE🩷

🌟1st September - 30th November🌟

Children’s Hospital Pyjamas are a UK based charity that collects donations of brand new pyjamas for children aged from newborn to eighteen.

The charity has been operating since 2009 when the founder’s young child was diagnosed with cancer. Having to spend long periods of time in hospital she realised that it added to her child’s distress having to wear a hospital gown. No child wants to be in hospital but if they have to be they want to be as comfortable as possible.

Over time, our pyjamas were requested from other establishments so the charity decided to make donations to other places that had poorly or underprivileged children. We donate to hospitals, hospices and refuges.

THERE WILL BE COLLECTION BOXES AT ALL OUR SITES

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
