Appreciate I haven't updated this page in a long time
I met an amazing young man this morning who has spurred me on to do this ♡
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July last year.
Surgery / radiotherapy followed
What I hadn't bargained for was the, at times unbearable, fatigue
A few things have contributed to a massive shift in the last couple of weeks
Think it was the " Lion's Gate Portal"
And making connections- old & new ♡
Whatever it has been - I am eternally grateful for this life

Had a lovely summer just at home

Looking forward to a couple of trips soon

Tentative run back at the Massage Therapy

BREAKING | Monday after Scotland's World Cup opener against Haiti to be made a bank holiday.

⚠️ Following discussions between Shetland Islands Council and Police Scotland, all schools across Shetland will be CLOSED to pupils tomorrow – Tuesday 6th January 2026.

❄️ Lying snow is still affecting travel in many areas and temperatures will fall well below freezing again this evening. The Met Office currently has a Yellow Warning of Snow and Ice in place until 2359hrs on Tuesday 6th January.

❄️ Sport and leisure facilities managed by Shetland Islands Council will also remain closed, including games halls and sports pitches, and Islesburgh Community Centre. The Eric Gray @ Seafield centre will also be closed tomorrow.

🚛♻️ Household recycling collections will be attempted in Lerwick tomorrow – cardboard and paper. All other black bag collections outside of Lerwick will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date when road conditions improve.

⚠️ Please note these are the same tractors & drivers that you were cursing at in the summer because you were stuck in the traffic behind them which inconvenienced you for 10 minutes.

🙏🏻 So here’s a shoutout to all the farmers , contractors and digger drivers who are helping clear the roads ,car parks and digging out those drivers stick in the snow drifts throughout Aberdeenshire, regardless if they have a contract or not.
Helping fill the void of an ever declining winter service from Aberdeenshire Council.

💡 So remember this post when you are stuck in that traffic line in the summer 😉
