Today we mark World Su***de Prevention Day. 🧑 This year, we are encouraging everyone to feel more comfortable asking someone they are worried about, β€œAre you thinking about su***de?”

We know this can feel daunting, but asking the question could be the first step in helping someone get the support they need.

To help, Su***de Prevention Scotland has developed a simple three-step approach to support people to start a conversation about su***de. We’re sharing these steps today to help make talking about su***de feel a little easier.

πŸŽ₯ Why is asking the question so important? This short video from Su***de Prevention Scotland highlights how asking someone about su***de can be the first step in helping them get support.

πŸ”—https://youtu.be/TO0zTvi_MdE

There is also training available to help people feel more confident having these conversations and supporting someone who may be struggling.
