Please be aware on Monday 17th August, our Triage line will be answered by a member of our admin team due to staffing resource.

Requests made for same day appointments will be allocated to a GP but we would ask you only to request this if it is for an emergency and cannot wait until the Practice re-opens on Tuesday morning and normal triage service resumes.

We would also ask that where possible, patients attend a local pharmacy who can deal with a number of ailments and can prescribe medications on the Pharmacy First scheme.

We will also not be accepting any samples unless they are requested by the GP that day. All other samples can be handed in before 12pm from Tuesday onward.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

With the retirement of our Practice Nurse Tracy, we would like to introduce two new Nurses to Leslie... Please welcome Ange and Debbie!

They have hit the ground running and you may have already spoken to them during triage or had appointments with them.

They will join Sue as our team of Practice Nurses in order to continue providing the service here at Leslie.

We are saying goodbye to our Practice Nurse Tracy on 31st of July.

Tracy has been a Practice Nurse here for 23 years and after moving from a hospital setting, she didn’t look back! Her commitment to the community has proved rewarding and making a difference has been key to her career…and was even a cover girl for the nursing magazine Nursing Standard! A fantastic career spanning 47 years!

She will be missed dearly by her colleagues and patients but we thank her for all of her hard work and wish her a very happy retirement filled with lots of puppy walks and fancy lunches!

Hot weather can be more than uncomfortable. It can be dangerous.

Top tips to beat the heat:

✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🚫 Cut back on sugary, caffeinated and alcoholic drinks
😌 Avoid strenuous activity during peak heat (11am-3pm)
👕 Wear loose, breathable clothing

Heatstroke, heat exhaustion, and dehydration are real risks, especially for young children, older adults, and those with health conditions.

Let's all make an effort to this year. Visit nhsfife.org/summersafe
