What Does Being a SAIF Member Mean for Families?

At Golden Funeral Care, we believe families deserve confidence that they are placing their trust in a funeral director committed to high standards of care, professionalism and service.

We are proud to share that Golden Funeral Care Ltd is a member of SAIF – the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors – and has successfully passed its Quality Assurance Inspection.

For families, this means:

⚫ Professional standards – our services are provided to recognised professional standards.

⚫ Quality and care – families receive the respectful, compassionate and personal service they deserve.

⚫ Trust and reassurance – our standards are independently assessed.

⚫ Continuous improvement – we continually review and improve the way we care for families.

⚫ Independent funeral care – we will always remain a local, independent funeral director with the families wishes at the forefront of everything we do.

It represents our commitment to every family who places their trust in us at one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Our role is not only to arrange the funeral, but to guide, support and care for you every step of the way.

Golden Funeral Care Ltd
Independent. Professional. Caring.

Because a funeral is not a day in a lifetime, it’s a lifetime in one day. 💙

🌟 Final Meet the Staff – Week 5 🌟

Over the past 5 weeks, we’ve been introducing the people who are the heart and soul of Golden Funeral Care.

This week, we are pleased to introduce Dawson Fairley, one of our dedicated Funeral Service Operatives.

As a Funeral Service Operative, Dawson plays a vital role in supporting families and ensuring every funeral is carried out with dignity, respect and the utmost attention to detail. From caring for those entrusted into our care, preparing funeral vehicles, assisting on funeral services and supporting families throughout the day, Dawson approaches every aspect of his role with kindness, professionalism and compassion.

Dawson says:

“Working at Golden Funeral Care is a privilege. We meet families during some of the most difficult times in their lives, and it’s rewarding to know we’ve helped provide comfort, support and a dignified farewell for their loved one. I’m proud to be part of a team that genuinely cares and treats every family with the respect they deserve.”

Outside of work, Dawson enjoys spending quality time with his family, making lasting memories together, and making the most of holidays away. He also enjoys dining out and has a real appreciation for a good malt wh**ky 🥃.

🌟 Meet the Staff Week 4– Lisa Balfour 🌟

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been introducing the people who are the heart and soul of Golden Funeral Care. Every member of our team plays an important role in ensuring that every family receives the highest standard of care, compassion, and support.

This week, we are delighted to introduce Lisa Balfour.

Lisa joined Golden Funeral Care just over two years ago and has become an invaluable member of our team. Her primary role is in administration, where she ensures everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently. However, Lisa is always happy to step beyond her office duties, working alongside families and assisting with many other aspects of the funeral service whenever needed.

Lisa says:

“Being part of Golden Funeral Care is incredibly rewarding. Although it’s a profession that comes at a difficult time in people’s lives, knowing that we’ve helped make things a little easier for a family means so much. It’s a privilege to support people with care, kindness and compassion, and I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated team.”

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys making the most of her free time by exploring the great outdoors with her beloved dog, Bramble. She also loves spending quality time with family and friends and can often be found enjoying live music and attending festivals.
