Day 3 of reclaiming my attention 👀 🧠 ✨

You can doom scroll for 60+ mins at a time but can you do this?
One hour in nature 🌲
No phone
No music
No books
No distractions
Just observing, listening, and being present

😮‍💨 today this was NEEDED! My brain has been on the go all day. I have felt very tired since the weekend and today has just been a day, so I really needed the calm.

The storm earlier almost scuppered my plans to get this hour in today but I made it happen and I’m so pleased I did. As soon as I gave my mind & body a chance to slow down, I really felt better for it.

Some things I observed this time -
🐦 all the pigeons calling their heads off
🦋 butterflies flying around peacefully
🪱 so many wiggly worms coming out of the ground after all the rain
🐌 watching the snails move around at their own pace
🦅 the lowest I have ever seen a red kite in the sky, circling my street 😍
☀️ the sunshine finding its way through the clouds and I immediately felt happier and lighter
🧠 my mind and body having the space to just breath and be, and boy did I need it.

A few little timer checks (that’s what you see me doing in the corner of the blanket!) - trying to ensure I could stay awake for the whole hour 😴 😂

Day 2 of reclaiming my attention 👀 🧠 ✨

Some things I observed this time -
🐈‍⬛ both my cats coming straight over to investigate the calm energy
🦋 butterflies landing right infront of me just looking beautiful
🐞 ladybirds climbing along blades of grass delicately
🐜 ants exploring through the mud blissfully unaware of me
🍃 the blanket of moss that is intertwined with the grass in my garden
☁️ the clouds covering the sky today, sun only peeking out here & there
💭 my thoughts having time and space to ruminate & work themselves out

Unsure where the camera thought it was drifting off to at the end 😅

Day 1 of reclaiming my attention 👀 🧠 ✨

*almost, my 5yo had to check on me briefly 😂 *

Just observing, listening, and being present
As a home-educating ADHD mum, this was definitely needed!

Watching nature for a full hour was so beautiful & grounding.

Some things I observed -
🐦 two teeny tiny Eurasian blue t**s singing in the tree
🦅 two red kites circling and calling out in the sky
🦋 butterflies coming across each other and flying around one another
🐈‍⬛ my cat slinking under my fire pit to find a new hiding spot
🌳 Lots of different types of trees in my garden, each with unique features
☀️ sunshine hitting the tree canopies
🌼 daisys all facing the same way toward the sun
☁️ clouds moving so slowly but being exactly where they need to be
🌬️ the window blowing at the perfect times to cool me down when I needed it

Also - ignore the laptop. It kept closing off my timer so my husband counted me down instead 🤦🏻‍♀️
