Please note that Borve Surgery is currently affected by a major power outage that is affecting properties between Borve and Ness. Therefore, we are short-staffed and may take longer to answer your call. If your call is not urgent, then please call back on Wednesday morning.

As part of a National Health Promotion and Screening programme, which began in 2025, the Practice is once again carrying out Cardiovascular Health Checks this year. You may be contacted by one of our team over the phone in the coming weeks and months, where you will be offered an appointment

The appointment will include having some basic health tests including blood pressure, height, weight, some blood samples to look at Heart and Diabetes risks, and include a discussion and advice. The appointment will take about 15 minutes and a clinician will contact you with your results at a later date.

A new procedure for Travel Vaccinations has started this week. Your GP practice is no longer your point of contact for a travel health risk assessment, including travel vaccines.

All travel health enquiries must be directed to the NHS Western Isles Vaccination Team as the first point of contact, regardless of whether the travel is for leisure or work purposes.

Patients must complete the travel health self-assessment on NHS Inform before making contact with the Vaccination Team.
