😋🏠It’s at - on the lunch menu today is a cold meat & potato salad, or a light ham & vegetable stew. For dessert there was a fruit jelly with cream. Of course chef caters for all dietary requirements, restrictions and for anyone who just fancies something different…. We are proud of our person led care at Lime Tree.

💕🌳🍾Here is the elderflower cordial! We had a lot of fun making this - we reminisced about foraging with our parents, grandparents, and of course our own children. It turns out the most popular foraged food is blackberries (of course!). Almost everyone had made blackberry jam, with a good apple & blackberry crumble coming in a close second… we hope to use our cordial for drinks at our summer party (date coming soon) & maybe even as a dessert flavouring! Watch this space….

Our residents will be taking part in sporting activities all week, as this year’s theme is The World Cup. So we will also be announcing our bronze, silver and gold medal winners!! 💕🏠A activity session suggested by a staff team member today - our carer Angela thought residents would enjoy horse racing, and as you can see, she was right! We had an official starter, everyone had a fun jockey name, and staff joined in too… a fun afternoon, with a bit of exercise and some hand eye coordination thrown in too👍🏼Thanks to Ange for the great idea….

💕🍩This week is , recognising the wonderful work done by unpaid carers - children & adults who look after a relative or friend. This important campaign runs every year, and while our carers at may be paid to provide care, we still want to acknowledge the amazing work they do. Care is hard work & can be challenging, both mentally & physically. Sadly, there is still a long way to go for care (paid or unpaid) to be recognised & valued as the important service it is. Today we say a massive thankyou to all our carers at Lime Tree House - we couldn’t run without them - our manager Stacey has provided a sweet treat for them all today. We also send our respect to all the unpaid carers out there. We appreciate you…
