👨🏼‍🍳 mark World Chef Day today; putting the spotlight on our two wonderful Chefs, Phil & Rocky. They both work hard everyday making nutritious, delicious & varied main meals. Then suppers, soup & cakes for tea time; special birthday cakes, & themed meals for our monthly ‘round the world’ days; all cooked from scratch. They’re both brilliant, so here’s a big ‘THANK-YOU’ for all their passion, attention to detail & dedication - they demonstrate our Southcare values each & every day.

We chat about the weather, nature, seasonal events and personal anniversaries/family birthdays etc. Then we each create a sign showing what October means to us. This is a great session; creative, sociable, reminiscence based, and with a fabulous end product! The signs really cheer up our notice board…

🥳🏠 are proud to work alongside our sister home supporting student nurses on their training placements. Yesterday we attended a training session provided by school of nursing to give us the tools to support & train these students to the best of their abilities. As a registered manager, Stacey will be supporting as a practise supervisor, working alongside senior nurses who will be assessing the students. We are proud to be playing an innovative and forward thinking role in the future of health & social care.

🌳💕 enjoyed a trip out to Barcombe Mills yesterday; a small group of residents went with our activities coordinator Kate. Resident Linda said “I haven’t been here for years; it’s really changed, but it’s SO lovely to be able to visit” The autumn sunshine was fabulous, and we all felt lucky to have such a beautiful spot so local.

🏠😋💕Wonderful Wednesday menu at today; residents chose between pasta bolognaise or a blue cheese & vegetable frittata with celeriac remoulade. For dessert there was semolina & raspberry jam; a perennial favourite! We are proud of our person led care at Lime Tree House, so of course chef caters for all tastes, wants and needs.

🏠🥳💕 are celebrating today 🥳 Our manager Stacey was thrilled to share with the team that we are finalists at the East Sussex Care Awards 2026!! We have achieved this nomination in the Dementia Care Award category, & Stacey told us all what a fantastic achievement this is, and that we should be very proud of ourselves as a team. The awards ceremony takes place on the 19th of November, but today we all celebrated with cakes & biscuits from Stacey. Great work Lime Tree team! It’s great to have our passion and dedication recognised…
