🏠🧑🏼‍🍳😋Marvellous Monday Menu at today - our residents chose between beef stew with dumplings or poached haddock with green beans, new potatoes and hollandaise. For dessert there was lemon posset. We are proud of our person led care & dedicated chefs; we strive to make every aspect of our residents lives lovely!

🎨🥔 residents celebrated recently by getting crafty! We had great fun reliving our childhoods and making potato prints 🥔Kate cut some shapes into the spuds for everyone and we all got stamping… As you can see, everyone did a very different print, just like our residents - all unique! This was a great reminiscence activity, sparking conversations about school days, and also playing with our own children.

🏆🏠Our ‘Lime Tree Legend’ for August is our fabulous Senior Carer Carmen! 🥳 She always goes the extra mile for all our residents, treating them with the same love & personal touches she would her own elderly relatives. She is an example to us all. Congratulations Carmen, keep up the good work…

🏠🧑🏼‍🍳😋Marvellous Monday Menu at today - residents chose between a mixed grill with sausage, bacon, egg & tomato, or cheddar mash with spinach & a soft poached egg on top. For dessert there was upside down banana & chocolate cake with custard! We are proud of our home cooked food & person centred care at Lime Tree; chef caters for all tastes and dietary requirements, of course.

🤩👏🏼 are feeling proud of our Activities Coordinator Kate today - she has achieved her qualification as a first aider! This is a volunteer workplace role Kate was asked to take on in addition to her regular job, and she is a great resource for staff; listening, being supportive, signposting… at we are serious about looking after our staff as well as our residents. Well done Kate; we know you put a lot of hours in to get this qualification.

🧁🏠💕 celebrated national cupcake day recently by baking our very own cupcakes! The cupcake is traditionally smaller and lighter than the now popular muffin, so we chose small cupcake cases, and decided on chocolate chips and raspberries for our flavouring. Everyone had a go at weighing, measuring, mixing and cracking eggs - baking is a wonderful reminiscence activity, and lots of conversations were sparked. The cupcakes were enjoyed by all at tea-time the next day. Residents Pat and Pam said the results were ‘yummy’ & ‘light & delicious’ when they tasted them.
