🍏🧀Yesterday at we marked both & 😋Residents really enjoyed tasting some regional British cheeses (aged cheddar, Somerset Brie, Red Leicester, Cheshire & blue Stilton) and sampling various ciders - from a fruity pineapple flavoured number, to a dry traditional West Country tipple. We made tasting notes as we went, with Joyce saying the Red Leicester would make great cheese on toast, Sue turning down the Blue Stilton because she didn’t eat anything with mould, and Pat saying the dry cider was delicious, and very drinkable. It really was a splendid afternoon of good food and drink, and fun with friends.

💕🐑 residents had a wonderful morning of cuddles and strokes last week with two lambs! Our lovely Meg is bottle feeding these orphans which makes them very used to human contact - as you can see from the pictures! Everyone who wanted to had a cuddle or a visit from a lamb. The staff enjoyed it too, and even the vicar got in on the act, as he was holding our monthly communion service from . Our manager Stacey even got nibbled on the nose 🤣! A fabulous experience, so big thanks to Megan….

🏠😋💕Marvellous Monday Menu at today! Our residents chose between Egg Royale (poached, with smoked salmon & hollandaise) or toad in the hole with mash & greens. For dessert there was chocolate tart with Chantilly cream. We are proud of our person led care, so chef caters for all; requirements and fancies!

💙 marked last week by a lovely afternoon of crafting - making our very own forget me nots… this was a lovely group activity, and as we worked we chatted. The theme for the campaign this year is “every badge tells a story “, and over a cup of tea we thought about our own stories, and shared if we wanted to. Our forget me nots turned out very well, and each one unique, just like our residents!

🥳💕🏠 are thrilled to introduce Meg, our new home Administrator. She’s been with us for over a month now, and has fitted in really well - she previously cared for a family member, so is very comfortable with our residents. Welcome to the Lime Tree family Meg! 🏠💕

🇦🇺🦘🌏 went all the way to Australia for our latest ‘Around the World’ theme day! Residents enjoyed a traditional Australian lunch (the Ozzie fave - meat pie - or grilled fish, and of course Pavlova for dessert) with a glass of Australian wine for those who wanted it. In the afternoon there was baking with Kate; we made Anzac Biscuits, very simple, but delicious. There was armchair travel, and of course we had a good old sing song to Waltzing Matilda!! Next month we are off to East Africa, to 🇬🇭Ghana…

🥳❤️Congratulations to legends for May - Tracy & Rocky!! Our manager Stacey wanted to acknowledge that they are a brilliant kitchen team; providing a person led mealtime experience for our residents, with good humour, care & consideration. It’s no mean feat providing quality food & drink for a home full of individuals, and Rocky & Tracy rise to the challenge with style, every day. Congratulations from us all at Lime Tree, and keep up the good work.
