Little habits that might not seem like a big deal, but can actually make a difference when it comes to looking after your eyes and your vision.
Here are a few things your optician wishes you’d stop doing…
Sleeping in your contact lenses when they’re not designed for overnight wear…
This can increase the risk of eye infections, so always follow the wearing instructions you’ve been given.
Rubbing your eyes all the time…
An occasional rub is one thing, but frequent or vigorous eye rubbing can irritate your eyes.
Ignoring changes in your vision…
New blurriness, flashes, floaters or other noticeable changes shouldn’t simply be put down to getting older. Some symptoms need checking promptly.
Keeping the same eye test on your todo list for years…
Regular eye examinations don’t just check whether your prescription has changed. They also give us an opportunity to check the health of your eyes.
Forgetting that sunglasses are about more than looking good…
Look for sunglasses that provide proper UV protection. Your eyes need protecting from UV exposure too. 😎
And finally…
Apologising because you’ve tried on 427 pairs of glasses and still can’t decide….
This one you CAN keep doing. 😂 Finding the pair you absolutely love is all part of it, and we’re here to help!
