Yoga in the Stars was born as a vision for realigning with our "cosmic constitution”. The innate desire to connect with the true self, and live a life more fulfilled. Yoga in the Stars is an inclusive space for you to experience coming together for the health, wellness and happiness that is your birthright. We share yogic philosophy, movement, mindfulness, breath, mindset and energy as we seek the

full breadth of the human experience. What can you expect from Yoga in the Stars? A place to expanded the natural horizon within your personal journey. With support from powerful, holistic modalities, 1-1 sessions, psychosynthesis coaching, health-centric awareness, nutritional recipe sharing, and traditional and progressive, perhaps even avant-garde concepts and ideas. As well as a community of new friends to support you on your journey in towards destiny.

Yoga in the Stars facilitates out of the East London location, with the Star Group, at The Heathcote and Star, Leytonstone. And also holds regular weekend retreats, with friends outside of London, bringing nature and community closer as a lifestyle.

A full afternoon gathering in the forest as part of the Buck Moon.

A conceptual walking sound journey as we walk beneath the trees outwards into the silence of the forest.

A way to connect with nature and with like minds.

A live embodiment of the deer through a silent forest solo and vision quest.

And then return to the glade for movement, yoga and connection set to live music.

Closing with a forest gong bath and sharing picnic.

A SOUND JOURNEY - LIVE - Introducing Garwyn + Joe
// July 23rd, Garwyn Linnell and Sound Travels return to the journey together.

This is more than a sound bath, it is a musical sound journey where listeners are invited to drop into deeper states, listen laying down, seated or if you feel inspired to move.

Cello, voice, Tibetan bowls, flutes, drums from Mongolian, Altai and an array of other traditions that span the world’s ceremonial soundscapes — woven into a journey of sound.

There is nothing to do here but receive. Lie down, sit, move gently, or be still.

This is a space to be in communion with the vibrational world, to come back to yourself and let the sound reorganize and reset mind, body and spirit.

This is the first in what we intend to be a regular gathering at Yoga in the Stars.

A space held regularly for those who know that sound is not entertainment — it is medicine, and sometimes, it is the only language that lands.

Come ready to go inward - or outward, or wherever the sound takes you.

As the Leo Sun stands opposite the Aquarius Moon, we’re invited to explore one of life’s greatest balances: honouring the unique aspects within us while remembering that we were never meant to walk this path alone.

The Buck Moon reminds us that growth may not be comfortable, but it is always calling us forth. Keep growing.

The Aquarius Full Moon reminds us that change and healing doesn’t always happen alone. Sometimes it happens around a fire, or beneath ancient trees, surrounded by people who are also choosing ther same.

This film is a beautiful Full Moon transmission from Jessie Faenix, recorded in Costa Rica through the Dreamweaver Prayer Project.

This Saturday, we gather beneath the Buck Moon in the ancient forest of Epping for an evening of ritual, movement, meditation and connection.

Once your yoga practice is with you, you take it into all areas of life, and you can explore everyday things with the reflective curiosity you would explore your own body for that 90 minutes on the mat. And that creates a richness to life.

WE GO TO EPPING FOREST TO STUDY & EMBODY THE NATURAL ATTENTIVENESS OF THE DEER.

We will gather at 3pm at a secret location, drawing together elements of self that may have been scattered by the city noise.

Sharing a conceptual walking sound journey as we walk outwards into the silence of the forest, a live embodiment of the deer, and a forest solo and vision quest.

And then return to the glade for movement, yoga, ta***ic meditation set to live, music and closing with a forest gong bath.

Garwyn has been collaborating at Yoga in the Stars for over 2 years, mostly through music and meditation, Magic Tree Collective , Manteio and the 7 Directions.

This will be our first collaborative series working with movement and somatic practices to bring new elements to how we move, connect and interrelate.

Join us for a new Authentic Movement circle at Yoga in the Stars,

A contemplative movement practice — held in ritual, inspired by Carl Jung’s Active Imagination practice and developed by dance-movement psychotherapists Mary Starks-Whitehouse, Janet Adler and many more to develop our inner witness and bring the unconscious into consciousness through the the moving body.

Yoga really is for everyone. It’s easy to say it like it’s some kind of meme for instagram, but it really is for everyone. It’s not performative. And it’s not gender specific. It’s not for people who are fit and flexible. It’s for all ages. And for all reasons. It’s for YOU. If you want ti make it an intentional spiritual momemt then great. If you want to come and sweat and move then great. It’s not that it’s inclusive, it’s that it’s YOURS and it’s YOURS TO DO WITH AS YOU PLEASE. FOR YOUR OWN REASONS AND THATS ALL. For a long time yoga became a middle class thing because the cost per class made it less accessible. But that’s all changing now. More and more there are donation based places like ourselves, Community Yoga Project and Sound & Silence who are finding ways to consistently open up their doors (metaphorically speaking) and that has created the best vibe, the nicest community, rhe most supportive environment for exploring self in a myriad of ways. So this is a reminder to take care of yourself, you’re precious and your body is your vessel for all you get to experience. Come and take care of yourself. Your back, your hips, your heart, your knees, your head. Don’t wait for the right day. You matter today.
