New Mental Health Crisis Text Service Launches in Lincolnshire
If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, you can now get free, confidential support 24 hours a day through a new text and online chat service called ChatHealth.
ChatHealth is designed for people who may find it hard to talk on the phone or attend face to face appointments. By sending a text or starting an online chat, you can speak with a trained mental health professional who can offer support, advice and guidance when you need it.
Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with replies aimed within two hours.
You can get support by text:
• Adults (18+): 07312 263027
• Children and young people (under 18): 07480 635303
This service is free, however text messages may be charged at your network’s standard rate. Check with your mobile provider for details.
Or chat online:
• Adults: www.chathealth.nhs.uk/start-a-chat/h/LincsMentalHealth
• Under 18s: www.chathealth.nhs.uk/start-a-chat/h/LincsCYPMentalHealth
ChatHealth is available for people feeling distressed or overwhelmed, including anxiety, low mood, self care difficulties, or thoughts of self harm.
The service cannot provide or review medication, diagnoses, face to face appointments or emergency care.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E.
ChatHealth is delivered by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. For more information, visit www.chathealth.nhs.uk.
