Its been a different couple of weeks at Gemma's house.

We havent been able to play in the garden so we have made the most of the allotment, the green spaces around our estate, going for walks and trying hard to embrace being inside!!

We have had a couple of previous playmates join us which has been lovely. I got to see how much they have grown and what they have learnt whilst being in the Nursery class at a local school before they started in Reception.

We have enjoyed small world play, stories, construction with wooden bricks and magnetiles, roleplay, playdough, mark making with pens and paint, puzzles, games and more.

I am extremely pleased to announce we can get back in the garden this week 🎉. We have the usual resources but we also have some excitng new additions so watch this space for next weeks update!! Xx

Happy Birthday to one of our playmates!!

It was actually her last day in the setting yesterday. She has been here since she was 9months old and I have watched grow, develop and learn so many things.

I will miss seeing her most days but I know she will do fantastically as she moves on and continues in her learning journey!! Xx

I would highly recommend TinyTalk Lincoln Baby Signing and Toddler Talking.
Each week we have a Toddler session within the setting which the children really enjoy.
Most of them also did baby signing before they started with me with their families and now I know the signs too its been really beneficial for that early communication.

We harvested quite a haul of veggies from the allotment and enjoyed spending time in the garden!!

This week is going to be quiet but gives me opportunity to catch up on paperwork and complete some all important safeguarding courses xx

I only spent a couple of days with the children last week!!

On Monday went down to the allotment where we harvested some potatoes, blackberries and tomatoes. A friendly neighbour gave us some plums and a cucumber!!!🥔🍅🥒
We also enjoyed some roleplay in the mud kitchen - washing the pots and pans!

On Friday we went down to the allotment in the morning - spent some time with the chickens feeding them our homegrown lettuce and digging up some potatoes and carrots.🐔🥬
In the afternoon we went for a lovely walk spotting lots of butterflies and ladybirds. Also collecting sticks, feathers, pine cones and danelion clocks!!. 🦋🐞

We can always find time to spend on the slide! 🛝
