A year on, from sepsis and major surgery !. Measuring my improved physical ability ,working part time treating patients really helps to release endorphins (Bodies feel good factor ) .
I have Over my 30 years in this profession, studying of massage and physical therapy always inspires me and drives me to gain qualifications, to aid my patients well being .
Gaining my Neuromuscular Therapy qualifications with John Sharkey at the NTC in Dublin, being a level 4 and thinking back in 2015 being "Therapist of the Year in the UK "
When I came out of hospital and not able to do as much as I would like to have done it was decided I needed to focus on, not sure who decided ,but I think Jacqui may have taken into consideration, I am a terrible patient and if I was mentally focused I would not be driving her mad.
As I always say "You never stop learning", the human body is a fascinating subject, bones muscles nerves the whole package , refining techniques to help my patients ,is always the goal.
So I went back to the books and studying and I got that studying itch, so it was decided I should do my Level 5 it was a really good course and I had to completed 400 hour's of study before I could achieved my "Level 5 " in Sports Massage so after taking the exam, I found out on the 14th December2025 I had passed great news.
Over the years I could not tell you how many hours I have put in studying even during Covid I was in a position as a member, to have access to the Royal Society of Medicine's Library "which is brilliant by the way " and on line discussions and lecturers some incredible ones on, Orthopedic and muscular injury, but however many it was I have added another 400 to the list and every minute of every hour has been worth it .
This level 5 is recognised by the GMC at the London College of Osteopathic Medicine
