A reminder to all our patients that the August Bank Holiday is this weekend.

📅 Trinity Medical Centre will close on Friday 28th August at 6:30pm and will reopen on Tuesday 1st September at 8:00am. 🕗

💊 We hope you have planned ahead and have enough medication to see you through the Bank Holiday weekend. Please remember to check your medication supplies and make sure you have everything you need. 💙

💊 Your local pharmacy can also help with advice and treatment for many common illnesses and minor health concerns. Through Pharmacy First, pharmacists can assess and, where appropriate, treat a range of conditions without you needing to see a GP.

📞 Need urgent medical advice while we are closed?
If you’re unsure where to go or what service you need, use NHS 111 online or call 111. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can direct you to the most appropriate service.

🦷 Urgent dental problems:
If you have an urgent dental problem and your dentist is closed, contact the appropriate urgent dental service.

🚑 For life-threatening emergencies, please call 999 or attend A&E.

💡 Why is an NHS Health Check important?

The NHS Health Check helps assess your risk of developing conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels, including:

Many of the warning signs for these conditions — such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol — often have no symptoms at all. That’s why having your NHS Health Check is so important. 👀🩺

Your check can help you understand your risk and, if needed, take steps to improve your health. This could include making lifestyle changes 🥗🏃‍♀️ or, where appropriate, taking medication 💊.

📲 Booking is now easier than ever!
Our new text messaging system includes a direct booking link, so if you receive a text from us, you can simply click the link and book your NHS Health Check straight from your phone. 📅📱

🍂💉 Flu Vaccination Programme 💉🍂

If you're aged 65 or over
or
are under 65 and are in the eligible cohorts

we will be sending you a text message over the next few days inviting you to book your flu vaccination appointment.

📅 Appointments will be available from 1st October onwards, so once you receive your invitation, simply choose a date and time that suits you.

📱 Our new text messaging system makes booking even easier! The text message will include a secure link, allowing you to book your appointment online in just a few clicks, without needing to call the practice.

☎️ If you don't use the internet or find online booking difficult, don't worry – you can still telephone the practice and we'll be happy to book your appointment for you.

🗓️ To make things as convenient as possible, we'll also be running Saturday vaccination clinics, giving you even more choice and flexibility.
If you receive an invitation from us, we'd be delighted if you choose to have your vaccination at the practice.
Having your vaccination with us helps us continue to provide and develop services for our patients and community.

🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Trinity Medical Centre in the NHS! 🎉

This year marks an incredible milestone as Trinity Medical Centre celebrates 30 years of serving our local community through the NHS. We are incredibly proud to have spent the last three decades providing high-quality, compassionate family healthcare, and we look forward to continuing to care for generations of local families for many years to come.

A special congratulations goes to Dr Brazier, who is also celebrating 30 years of dedicated service. His commitment to our patients and community has been at the heart of the practice since the beginning, and we're delighted that he will be continuing to care for our patients for the foreseeable future.

As we celebrate our past, we're also looking to the future. Over the next couple of months, we're excited to welcome two new GPs to our growing team, helping us continue to provide the excellent care our patients deserve.

We're also incredibly proud of Janine, who has been part of the Trinity family for 23 years. Starting her journey as a receptionist, Janine has worked tirelessly to develop her skills and is on the brink of being a newly qualified nurse, with her degree results due in the next couple of weeks. We wish her all the luck in the world—although we're certain she won't need it! We're thrilled that Janine will be staying with Trinity as one of our Practice Nurses, and we couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Behind the scenes, our fantastic admin team continues to go from strength to strength. Every member of the team has taken on additional responsibilities within the practice, embracing new roles and developing their skills to help us deliver the very best service to our patients. Their dedication and hard work are invaluable, and we're incredibly grateful for everything they do.

Thank you to our wonderful patients, past and present, for your continued trust and support over the last 30 years. Here's to celebrating this milestone together and to many more years of caring for our community. 💙🏥
