Today we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely lunch for Sarah, her mum, and her aunty Rita, who was visiting from Birmingham.

Our lovely residents at Laburnum Lodge enjoyed a fantastic afternoon watching the live performance of The Good Old Music Hall Days at The Maltings, Ely Riverside. 🎭✨

Filled with laughter, music, and wonderful performances, it was a truly memorable experience for everyone who attended. A heartfelt thank you to the talented cast and organisers for providing such an enjoyable afternoon.

We would also like to recognise their generosity in supporting Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, with proceeds from ticket sales helping to fund the charity's invaluable work in the community.

Earlier this month, we held a special food tasting session featuring dishes chosen directly by our residents during our menu planning meeting 🍽️

Residents had the opportunity to taste and give feedback on their selected meals as we worked together to finalise our upcoming Spring/Summer menu. It was wonderful to see everyone involved in shaping a menu filled with their favourite flavours and seasonal dishes.

A huge thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for preparing such a delicious selection for everyone to enjoy!

At Laburnum Lodge, we were honoured to be joined by Buddhist monks to celebrate a beautiful Sri Lankan tradition known as a “Dana.”

A Dana is an act of generosity and giving, where food and offerings are presented to monks as a way of showing gratitude, gaining blessings, and honouring loved ones. It is a deeply meaningful practice in Sri Lankan culture, symbolising kindness, community, and spiritual reflection.

It was a peaceful and special occasion for everyone involved, and we are grateful to have shared this moment together. 🌿
