School’s nearly out for summer! ☀️🚗🎨⚽

Looking after a child or young person with additional needs during the holidays can be rewarding - but also challenging at times. That’s where we can help.

Our children’s complex care teams can support with short-term packages over the summer holidays, including personal care, medications, complex clinical needs, routines and community activities.

Most importantly, we support young people to spend time doing the things they love - whether that’s days out, hobbies, sensory activities or simply having fun and building confidence.

It can also give parents and family carers the chance to take a well-earned break, catch up on everyday life or simply have a bit of breathing space.

This week is Diabetes Week 2026, led by Diabetes UK , shining a light on the realities of living with diabetes and challenging the stigma that many people still face. This year's these is "Strike Out Stigma" - because diabetes is nobody's fault.

We're proud to see our Complex Care Nurse, Charlotte, featured by Neuro Rehab, discussing how Alcedo Care works alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional complex care and rehabilitation support at home and in the community.

In the interview, Charlotte shares how close partnership working with case managers, therapists, clinicians, families and support teams helps individuals progress towards their rehabilitation goals, maximise independence, and achieve the best possible outcomes.
