I’m sat here reflecting on our two Meno…Pause events and I can’t quite believe we finally brought the vision to life 🩷

What started as one conversation led to another, then another, and somehow brought together the most amazing group of women, Carla, Tammy, Jackie and Maureen.

Four supportive, uplifting women, each bringing something completely different, but all sharing the same intention, to support other women.

Jackie through Yin yoga, Carla and Tammy through some much needed self-care, and Maureen bringing both evenings to the most beautiful close with breathwork and sound baths.

Thank you for helping bring my vision to life, embracing it and bringing so much of yourselves to these evenings. I genuinely couldn’t have wished for a better group of women to share them with. What an amazing team 🙏🏼🩷

And a huge thank you to Ava for all of your support capturing the evenings and so many special moments for us to look back on. 💞

To every woman who attended, thank you.

For your openness, your questions, your conversations, your energy and the most incredible feedback.

Some of you came with friends. Some came alone. Some told us you were nervous beforehand. Watching those conversations start, the laughter around the room and women connecting with one another was one of my favourite parts.

And hearing how many of you left feeling genuinely relaxed meant everything.

Because that was always at the heart of The Meno…Pause.

Not just another menopause event filled with information, but an opportunity to actually pause.

To learn. To talk. To connect. To try something new. And, for a few hours, to put yourself first.

I’m incredibly proud of what we created together.

Sometimes the best things really do start with a conversation 💖💕

💗 NEW EVENT | BOOKINGS NOW OPEN 💗

For several years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through different stages of life.

More recently, I’ve also had the opportunity to work with their daughters, and with mums and daughters together. Although every conversation is different, one theme continues to emerge...

The messages we hear.

The messages we see.

The beliefs we inherit about food, our bodies, confidence, health and what it means to be a woman.

Today, those messages come from everywhere, family, friends, school, the media and social media. Alongside evidence-based information, we’re also surrounded by myths, misinformation and unrealistic expectations, making it difficult to know what to believe.

Creating an event that brings mums and daughters together has been one of my passions for a long time. As life gets busier, opportunities to simply spend quality time together can become fewer.

This evening has been created to bring generations together, to learn, ask questions, challenge outdated beliefs and start conversations that continue long after the event has finished.

Because when we change the conversation, we have the opportunity to change what we pass on.

I actually feel like I’ve pulled an all-nighter… 😂

Today has been a real mix of emotions. Gratitude. Relief. Pride.

For months, The Meno…Pause - An Evening of Conversation, Connection & Calm lived in my head. Last night, it finally came to life, and it was everything I’d hoped it would be.

There were moments when I questioned whether I could pull it all together, but seeing so many women walk through the door made every late night, every checklist and spreadsheet worthwhile.

What makes me smile most is that bringing this team together felt unintentionally intentional. It all started with a conversation with Carla, which led to meeting Jackie, Tammy and Maureen.

As this team came together, I realised we shared so much more than a passion for wellbeing.

✨ We’ve embraced change.
✨ We’ve stepped outside our comfort zones.
✨ We’ve shown resilience.
✨ We believe in supporting one another.
✨ We’re passionate about helping women and our communities.

Without even planning it, every conversation and every connection quietly led us to this evening.

The event was about creating a space where women could pause, feel heard, connect and take a little time for themselves.

A massive thank you to Carla, Tammy, Jackie and Maureen, and a special thanks to Ava for capturing the evening so beautifully.

Thank you to everyone who donated period products for MYA THinK, Your generosity will make a real difference within our community.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and Knowsley Council. Their investment enabled us to provide the evening free of charge, helping remove barriers and making evidence-informed menopause education, wellbeing activities and peer support accessible to local women as part of a wider programme delivered over the past 11 months.

Finally, thank you to every woman who trusted us with your evening.

If just one woman left feeling more informed, more connected, more relaxed or just a little kinder to herself, then every minute of planning was worth it.🩷✨

I have been completely overwhelmed by the response to The Meno…Pause. The first event was fully booked in just over an hour, and since then my inbox has been filled with messages asking if there would be another opportunity to attend.

I’m so pleased to share that I’ve managed to secure a second date!

🗓️ Wednesday 19th August

The evening will once again bring together evidence-informed menopause education, meaningful conversations, gentle yoga, mini facials and hand massages, a beautiful sound bath, delicious food and, most importantly, a room full of women taking a little time for themselves.

The response has shown just how much these conversations are needed within our community. It reinforces something I’ve believed for a long time, that women need spaces where they can come together, learn, connect and feel supported without judgement.

✨ Bookings are now live - Link is in my bio✨

As with the first event, places are limited and one ticket will be available per person to give as many women as possible the opportunity to attend.

We can’t wait to welcome another amazing group of women. 🩷

“We don’t need to become menopause experts… we just need to become better at supporting people.” 🩷

Today I had the privilege of speaking to employers, managers and employees about menopause in the workplace.

But the biggest takeaway wasn’t the statistics or the slides…
It was the conversations.

The honesty.

The willingness to listen.

The ideas people shared about how small changes can make a big difference.

We talked about creating workplaces where people feel heard, understood and supported. Because sometimes it’s not about having all the answers, it’s simply about someone being willing to ask, “How are you?”

One of the most powerful moments from today was seeing how the conversation resonated with people’s own stories and lived experiences.

It was a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, and behind every person is a story we might know nothing about.

When we create safe spaces for conversation, people feel able to speak, to listen, to learn from one another and to realise they’re not alone.

That’s where understanding grows.
That’s where cultures begin to change.
That’s where real change starts.

I’ll leave you with the same question we ended the session with…

✨ What’s one small thing you could do today to help someone feel more supported?

Because sometimes the smallest actions have the biggest impact. 🩷

Huge thank you to the Working Well team Knowsley Chamber Of Commerce for inviting me to speak today.

One thing I’ve noticed when working with women is that supplements are rarely introduced in isolation.

Often, by the time someone starts taking a supplement, they’re also:
✔️ Eating more nutritious meals
✔️ Exercising more regularly
✔️ Sleeping better
✔️ Drinking more water
✔️ Paying more attention to self-care
✔️ Following a skincare routine
✔️ Reducing alcohol
✔️ Managing stress more effectively

A few weeks or months later, they feel better.

The challenge is knowing what actually made the difference.

Was it the supplement?

Or was it the collection of positive changes they made alongside it?
This isn’t an argument against supplements. Some have a place and can be incredibly helpful when used appropriately.

It’s simply a reminder that health is complex, and it’s often difficult to separate the effect of a product from the effect of the behaviours that came with it.

As humans, we’re naturally drawn to the simplest explanation.

“I took this supplement and felt better.”

But sometimes the real answer is:
“I started looking after myself differently and felt better.”

That’s why good research matters.
That’s why critical thinking matters.

And that’s why I believe we should ask questions before assuming a product deserves all the credit.

Questions like:
✔️ What are the qualifications of the person recommending it?
✔️ Are they trained to interpret research?
✔️ Are they selling the product or earning commission from it?
✔️ Is there a financial incentive behind the recommendation?
✔️ Have they discussed potential risks as well as benefits?
✔️ What does the research actually conclude?

We all have biases.

But when health advice and financial gain become closely linked, it’s worth paying attention to where information is coming from and who benefits when we click “buy”.

Being informed isn’t about being cynical.

It’s about being curious enough to ask questions before spending your money or putting something into your body.

Today was always going to feel mentally challenging because trying to wrap your head around period poverty in 2026 is genuinely mind blowing.

But this is the reality for some young people across Knowsley.

Young people going without food so they can afford period products.

Even typing those words doesn’t feel real.

Today was another reminder that female health is still not spoken about enough, especially within communities where families are already struggling with the cost of living, food insecurity, poor mental health, and lack of access to basic essentials.

I started my morning at Catch22 in Kirkby, another amazing organisation doing incredible work supporting young people, dropping off some female health packs. Packs containing period products, but also everyday essentials that many of us take for granted.

I ended my day at MYA in Huyton, an organisation with young people at the heart of everything they do and who are driving positive change across the borough, continuing conversations around female health and delivering more packs, where the team were immediately able to identify young people who would benefit from support.

What stood out most today was the power of community.

Organisations connecting.
People listening.
Support being shared.

Communities recognising needs and working together to try and make things a little easier for young people who are struggling silently.

Because sometimes support starts with something small.

A conversation.
A period pack.
A safe space.

Someone simply saying, “I hear you.” ❤️

Over the last few weeks, so many conversations in my DMs have centred around women’s health experiences, particularly around pain, procedures and feeling dismissed.

What continues to stand out to me is how often women are conditioned to normalise discomfort and question themselves rather than the support they are receiving.

Even when women are visibly distressed or clearly in agony, pain can still be minimised, explained away or treated as something they are simply expected to tolerate.

Pain tolerance is not the same as pain management.

And just because something is common does not mean it should automatically be considered acceptable or expected.

I think we still have a long way to go in how women’s pain, symptoms and experiences are listened to, understood and supported across healthcare and society more broadly.
