Following recent MenB outbreaks affecting university communities, eligible young people are being encouraged to get protected.

Feeling better doesn’t always mean the infection has completely cleared! 💊
If you’ve been prescribed antibiotics, take them exactly as directed by your healthcare professional and don’t stop, shorten or change the course yourself just because your symptoms have improved. Stopping early when you haven’t been advised to can mean the infection isn’t adequately treated and symptoms may return.
If you’re experiencing side effects, have missed doses, or aren’t sure whether you should continue, speak to your pharmacist or prescriber for advice rather than making the decision yourself.

Ever wondered where your prescription charge actually goes? 💷👀 Spoiler: the pharmacy team isn’t taking it out back and making it rain. 😂💸
In England, the NHS prescription charge is a government-set charge. When you pay it at the pharmacy, the pharmacy collects the money on behalf of the NHS, and the amount collected is accounted for when the NHS reimburses the pharmacy. It isn’t a tip, bonus or extra profit for the pharmacy team.
And remember, many people are exempt from prescription charges, depending on their circumstances.
So sadly… no money-spraying celebrations behind the dispensary. 😭💷
