📢 Halewood Recruitment Update 📢

Just a quick update regarding our current vacancies.

Interviews for our new Halewood team members will begin next week.

As I will be on holiday for 3 weeks from 19th August, all interviews need to be completed before I leave, as I won’t be returning until 13th September – just a few days before we’re due to open our doors!

If you haven’t already submitted your application form, please do so quickly and by tomorrow evening. This will allow me enough time to review applications and, if successful, invite you for an interview before I go away.

📍 Interview Location:
All interviews will take place at our Aintree Centre, as our Halewood centre is not yet suitable for visitors. Remember Me Dementia day care centres - Aintree

Vacancy at our Aintree centre.

Due to a team member transferring closer to home at our halewood centre this is to replace their current position.

Dementia Care Support Worker & Driver Required

Remember Me Dementia Day Care Centre – Aintree

We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Dementia Care Support Worker & Driver to join our friendly team.

Working Days:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm

About the Role

This is a varied role that combines both driving and hands-on care within our day centre.

Your duties will include:

* Collecting and safely transporting our members to and from the centre.
* Providing personal care and support where required.
* Assisting with activities and encouraging engagement.
* Preparing and serving meals and refreshments
( we have a chef to prepare meals this will only be required during any holidays)
* Cleaning and maintaining high standards throughout the centre.
* Stock rotation and replenishment.
* Prompting and administering medication in line with training and company policies.
* Wearing the required uniform and PPE at all times.
* Working as part of a supportive team to provide outstanding person-centred care.

Essential Requirements

* Full, valid UK driving licence.
* Confident and competent driver who is comfortable carrying out our daily pick-up and drop-off runs.
* A caring, compassionate and positive attitude.
* Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English to support the safety and wellbeing of our members.
* A willingness to undertake dementia training if required.

Please do not apply if you do not hold a full UK driving licence or do not feel confident carrying out our transport runs.

Flexibility

Applicants must be flexible and able to provide holiday and sickness cover when needed. This may occasionally include Saturday working.

If you are unable to offer flexibility due to other commitments, this role is unlikely to be suitable.

Start Date

16th September (or as close to this date as possible).

We are soon Due to open of our brand new Halewood Centre, so we are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Dementia Care Support Workers to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new & special from the very beginning. As a new centre, all successful applicants will play an important role in helping us establish and grow the service during its first few months, creating a warm, welcoming environment for our members and their families.

We currently have 3 vacancies available:

⏰ Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Saturday will be 9am until 5pm.

Driving

While this is not an essential driving role, applicants who hold a full UK driving licence may be asked to assist with our transport runs to cover annual leave or sickness when required.

Flexibility

All roles will include alternate Saturday working. Although Saturday shifts may not begin immediately due to current centre numbers, they will become part of the role.

Please do not apply if you are unable to work alternate Saturdays when they are required.

Applicants must also be flexible and able to provide holiday and sickness cover when needed. If you are unable to offer flexibility due to other commitments, this role is unlikely to be suitable.

Tuesday 16th September (or as close to this date as possible depending on the vacancy you’ve chosen).

Looking for anyone or any recommendations who can level this area out which will be used as a garden space.

Needs to be completely level and accessible.
Currently has stones with black plastic underneath.

What we need !
All removed and level -
Add some artificial grass ( most of the space)
And some more paving slabs to the already existing ones near the building for a bigger seating area.

💚 An Update on Our Halewood Centre 💚

We are so sorry for the delay, especially to those of you who are currently on our waiting list. Please know that we are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get our doors open as soon as possible.

In the meantime, many people on our waiting list have already enjoyed taster sessions at our Aintree centre and are currently attending there until Halewood is ready to welcome them.

As soon as we have a clearer idea of our opening date, we will be hosting a huge celebratory Open Day for everyone to come along, have a look around, meet our amazing team, and see everything our new centre has to offer. 🎉

The Open Day will be held on a Sunday, and our official opening date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

We know many of you are excited, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support while we work through these final stages.

We promise to share more details as soon as we know more.
