Today Josie, Eileen and Tina went to the local pub with activity coordinators Mollie and Toni. We had a lovely day out with chitchat and a lot of laughs, so much so that we all left on the verge of tears and our belly’s aching with excitement.

Josie enjoyed her classic whiskey and lemonade, Tina had a good pint and Eileen enjoyed herself a cold glass of Coke.

Everyone had a great time and we’d all love to do it again sometime soon.

Today we tried out a jigsaw in the lounge to do with the royal procession. Barbra and eileen and Activity coordinator Toni helped split all the peices into outer peices and middle peices to try and make it abit easier we really enjoyed ourselves and Barbara and Eileen where really getting into it and enjoyed themselves Thanks ladies we will try and finish the jigsaw. ️🧩

Margaret enjoyed herself in the garden feeling the sun on her face. She said she always enjoys the fresh air and the sunshine as well as listening to the birds in the trees and seeing them flying about ☀️ She had a good chat with all the staff and some of her fellow residents inside...everyone had a great laugh and smiles on their faces😃

Maureen and activity coordinator Toni had a lovely 1-1 talk in Mo’s room today. Mo really enjoyed the company and told Toni a few things about her family and her life when she was younger. Maureen took real pride in her explanations about her past and it was lovely to see her reliving her memories. Thank you for sharing your stories Mo 😊

Today John and activities coordinator Mollie, with the help of johns wife Irene, planted some flowers on the balcony which John kindly went out with his family and bought since he had a very specific taste.

We had a great time enjoying the fresh air and having a good gab while potting out, talking about Johns love for gardening and how he hopes to see them growing every day.

We agreed that by the time of our summer fete, John’s flowers will be a staple at our entrance.

Today May, Norma, Barbara, Josie, Eva and Tina had their nails shaped, painted and a hand massage by activities coordinator Mollie.

All the ladies enjoyed having a pamper and a good chat, getting their nails done like the good old days.

Everyone picked out their favourite colours and loved the outcome.

Eileen and Activity Coordinator Mollie went for a little stroll around to get some fresh air and acting as Post Ladies delivering some letters to our neighbours around the way.

We had a good chat about Eileen’s interests including bingo and her love for strawberries. We agreed that strawberries with melted chocolate is a snack that can’t be beat.

Eileen said she wanted to look into getting a job to keep herself busy so we’re going to speak to manager Angie about getting Eileen some hours on the activity shifts with Mollie. Eileen agreed we’d have a lot of fun!

Today we all enjoyed our sponsored walk in honour of our home!!💚

Staff members Mollie, Toni and Taylor, along with their family members, participated in the walk to raise money for their residents. Resident Roy, his niece Diane, and resident Eileen also came along to take park and it’s safe to say we all had a wonderful time💚

We had a great time out, seeing the animals, the beautiful flowers and listening to the birds in the trees. Roy spoke to his wife Norma on FaceTime during the walk and met a friendly dog named Daisy💚

Eileen reminisced about how she used to love the monkey bars while watching Toni’s sons play on them for a few minutes💚

Thank you to everyone who participated in our walk and to everyone who’ve sponsored our walkers. We will let you know what we’ve raised shortly💚
