KDC North West is a registered charity (number 1103477) that has been supporting local people who face challenges by reason of their disability for more than 30 years. Originally established in 1979 as a service for adults with learning disabilities KDC North West has developed and evolved into a modern, forward-thinking agency specialising in delivering services to support local people to live in

dependent lives in the community. Our Vision is to see communities where all people are included, live independently and are valued as equal citizens

KDC North West is a Company Limited by Guarantee, number 5002948 and a Registered Charity, number 1103477 and we are regulated by HM Revenue and Customs for the purposes of providing financial management and payroll services. To better reflect the charity's geographical reach, a resolution was passed to update our name to KDC North West (formerly Knowsley Disability Concern) this was completed on 12 December 2024

Make a real difference to someone’s life
We’re looking for an Appointeeship Officer to help vulnerable adults manage their finances safely and independently.
What you’ll be doing
• Managing a caseload and handling day-to-day financial tasks
• Paying bills, setting up direct debits and monitoring accounts
• Keeping clear, accurate financial records
• Working closely with families, care providers and professionals
• Supporting people to understand their financial situation
• Ensuring safeguarding, GDPR and compliance standards are met
What we’re looking for
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence working with numbers and financial processes
• Great communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach
• Experience in administration or finance
• Good IT skills (including Excel)
Good to have:
• Experience in social care, housing or working with vulnerable people
• Knowledge of benefits or DWP processes
• Experience managing money on behalf of others
