“My lines are getting deeper. I look stern and tired even when I’m in a good mood.”
This is something I hear from women in their 50s and 60s quite often.
Forehead lines, lines between the brows and crow’s feet can become more noticeable over time. And sometimes, they remain visible even when you’re completely relaxed.
That’s because, at this stage, some lines are no longer simply caused by muscle movement. They can become more permanently etched into the skin.
And that changes the conversation.
The important question isn’t simply, “How do we get rid of the lines?”
It’s understanding why they’re there, what is contributing to them, and what approach is actually appropriate for your face.
Because looking tired or stern doesn’t always mean you feel that way.
Sometimes, it’s simply what your face is communicating.
Assessment first. Always.
