Well… it’s been a while since I’ve been able to go to any general yoga classes due to a lasting hip problem.
Stretching, my beloved yin and vinyasa classes were absolutely out of the question for me.
Instead I’ve focused on strength building through weight training and Pilates, my yoga practice has been soft and gentle with daily pranayama and meditation.
So, in the last 3 weeks, I’ve started going to some classes in my gym and at my spiritual home Yogacita - Studio Liverpool
I have always retained my upper body strength but lower is not great, working on it.
I’ve had very painful deep gluteal syndrome, for more than 2 years, I think from menopause. So I’ve become weaker.
It took so so long to figure out what it was - doctors, nhs physio, chiropractor, energy work, diet and private physio.
My amazing physio Stephanie Brennan has helped me so much, and working (myself) with grounding my energy and an incredibly clean diet have all been the biggest help.
I’ve done 4 yoga classes this week! 2 Pilates and been the gym twice.
I did my gorgeous Kellie Hendley a class this morning and she took this 📸 for me 💪🏻 still painful but not like before.
