The photo on the left is in fact composite veneers that we created previously. At the time, this patient wanted a softer, more natural shade that blended seamlessly with his features. Some time later, his preferences changed, and he decided he wanted a brighter, fresher smile.

That’s one of the things I love about cosmetic dentistry. Every smile is designed around the individual. From tooth shape and texture to brightness and character, you have a huge say in the final result. My job isn’t to create my perfect smile. It’s to create your perfect smile.

For this refresh, we kept the natural anatomy but increased the brightness to achieve a cleaner, more confident look that still suits his face.

These composite veneers were originally created 8 years ago on our lovely patient , when the trend was for brighter, squarer, more uniform smiles with minimal surface detail.

Fast forward to 2026, and the aesthetic has shifted.

Out with 8 year old composite veneers and in with the new 🦷

This patient originally had composite veneers placed 8 years ago. Over time, they’d developed some minor surface staining and the anatomy had softened slightly, but they had served her incredibly well and stood the test of time.

As a dentist herself, choosing someone to work on your smile is never a decision taken lightly. Being trusted by fellow dental professionals is something I never take for granted.

Rather than creating a completely different smile, our goal was to refine and elevate what was already there.

We carefully removed the existing composite veneers and handcrafted a new set with:
