Everyone reaches for hyaluronic acid when their skin feels dry. Makes sense as it’s the most talked-about hydrating ingredient out there right?

But HA works by pulling moisture in. If your barrier’s compromised, there’s nothing to seal that moisture in place! And in dry environments, it can end up pulling moisture out of your skin instead of in.
