π Carers Week 2026 | 8thβ14th June π
This week, we join organisations across the UK in recognising and celebrating the incredible contribution of unpaid carers.
Every day, millions of people provide care and support to a loved one, family member, friend, or neighbourβoften alongside work, raising children, managing a household, or dealing with their own health needs. Their dedication enables people to remain independent, connected to their communities, and living in the place they call home.
This year's theme, "Building Carer Friendly Communities", highlights the importance of creating communities where carers are recognised, valued, supported, and able to access the help they need when they need it.
At Mountbatton Care, we see first-hand the difference unpaid carers make. Caring can be rewarding, but it can also be physically, emotionally, and financially demanding. No carer should feel alone, and support is available.
If you are an unpaid carer in the North West, these organisations can provide advice, practical support, training, wellbeing services, and information about your rights:
π Carers Trust
π Carers UK
π Sefton Carers Centre
π Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre
π Liverpool Carers Centre
π Warrington Carers Hub
To every unpaid carer in our communities: thank you. Your compassion, resilience, and commitment make an enormous difference every single day.
