Our new Spinal Manual Therapy 1-day Masterclass has been very popular. It has been enjoyable to teach on, the feedback has been great (see below) and we loved doing it😀. The date of the next Spinal masterclass day is the 13th February 2027 in Liverpool -so pencil that in your diary as it will fill up!. For more info, visit https://sommcourses.org/product/spinal-manual-therapy-masterclass/.👍

"The course was brilliant — both educators were fantastic. They explained everything clearly, using both layman’s and medical terms, making it concise, easy to follow, and packed with useful information. They provided clear recommendations, outlining the pros and cons of different practices, and offered a really holistic, well-rounded approach to assessment, treatment, and long-term management.''

''The support throughout was incredible, and the manual treatment sessions were especially helpful — I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned in clinic next week. ''

''The course introduced me to new assessment techniques, manual therapy treatments, and fresh ideas for managing acute, sub-acute, and chronic patients. The educators were open-minded, approachable, and encouraging with their advice and recommendations for current and future practice.''

''I’m extremely grateful for today’s training — it was invaluable.

Does high impact exercise increase the risk of joint replacement? The recent study ⬇ found that high impact exercise was associated with a substantially lower risk of THR, and did not increase TKR risk. Clinicians may consider recommending
higher-impact activities for individuals with hip OA, and supporting continued participation in knee OA when symptoms, capacity and patient goals allow.👍

Shared decision-making is a widely promoted approach, yet clinicians, typically supportive in principle, find it difficult to implement because of concerns and barriers they commonly encounter in practice.Check out the recent article ⬇ that discusses this concept in more depth👍
