Hello Asa

I want to pass on thanks from all of us for the way you celebrated Dad on Wednesday. Everyone feels it was a really fitting tribute - warm, truly celebratory and funny - and Dad would have approved and loved it.

As a family we especially appreciated the way you read out our messages, conveying so well the feelings within them.

And Mum particularly wants me to pass on her thanks for making something that could have been so difficult, so much easier to bear. And she’s very sorry she didn’t get the chance to tell you in person on the day.

Thanks again, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for that geegee called Gerry.
