Hello September! 🍁

As we welcome in the new month it is the perfect time to reflect and to set intentions. Feeling active in our desires for the coming month is the first step to grounding ourselves into achieving them.

Yoga invites us to deepen these intentions and to settle into the sensation of gratitude and peace. Movement releases tension in the body and mindfulness releases the mind from what no longer serves us. Clearing the mind through time on the mat provides clarity and helps us to enter into the new month without distractions, but with excitement and drive. When the body is flowing, the mind is also free. ✨

Take time this September to appreciate where you are and to feel inspired for where you're going.

✨ Pose of the Week: Child's Pose ✨
(Sanskrit: Balasana)

Child's Pose is gentle and restorative, allowing the mind to settle as the body slows down. Folding forward with the hips reclining towards the heels invites the body to soften into a comfortable stretch. A lengthening sensation is felt through the spine as the arms extend forward on the mat.

Combined with intentional breathwork, the pose can help to release tension through the back, shoulder, and hips whilst creating space for calm and relaxation.

Benefits:
- Gently stretches the hips, thighs and ankles
- Releases tension through the back and shoulders
- Encourages relaxation and calm
- Promotes mindful breathing and body awareness
- Provides a restful posture between more active poses

Yoga is more than the shape we create with our bodies. It’s the way we breathe, the way we listen, and the way we meet each moment. 🧘‍♀️✨

Softening into each pose without forcing it. Breathing deeply and intentionally. Bringing awareness, patience, and compassion to each practice. The subtle quiet and consciousness welcomes in a deepened grounding to the present, and the ability to connect the mind and body fully.

The pose is the first step, but choosing how to be within it is where the practice truly takes shape. 🌸

Take time for your wellbeing this weekend ✨

When life gets busy, it is even more important to take time to reconnect and think clearly. Returning to the mat for practice invites you to breath deeply and to open up the tension in the body. It allows the mind and body to feel refreshed, and to be grounded in the present.

Moving together in a class provides guidance and community in this personal wellbeing journey, regardless of experience or ability.

Yoga is more that just the poses. It's the mindfulness that it invites. ✨

Devoting time to your practice can help to clear the mind, to destress, and to increase focus. Mindfulness is important to truly understanding the self and to living peacefully.

Yoga can help to clear through the weather, and leave you with a clear sky in mind. ☀️
