🌿 Fern & Raven turns ONE! 🌿

On 4th September, Fern & Raven will officially be one year old. 🥹

One whole year of learning, growing, changing direction, finding my feet and figuring out exactly what I want Fern & Raven to be.

It hasn't always been easy, and it hasn't always gone to plan, but looking back, I'm so proud of this little business.

What started as an idea has grown into something that feels much more like me, a little woodland inspired space centred around rest, relaxation, nature and a touch of magic.

Most importantly, I want to say thank you.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me with their time and their wellbeing. Thank you to everyone who has booked, recommended me, shared my posts, supported me or simply followed along.

So, throughout September, I'm going to be celebrating Fern & Raven's first birthday… and I've got a few little things planned 👀

The Deep Stillness Massage involves gentle ASMR-inspired techniques such as light back tracing, delicate fingertip movements, gentle hair play and calming sensory touch using things such as feathers and combs to help quiet a busy mind and encourage deep relaxation.

This isn't a deep tissue massage or a treatment designed to "work out knots." Instead, it's about creating a feeling of complete calm, comfort and stillness.

Litha, AKA the summer solstice is the longest day and shortest night of the year. A powerful moment when the Sun is at its peak, nature is overflowing with life, and energy is at its brightest.

Litha is one of the eight sabbats on the wheel of the year and is a celebration of abundance, fire, passion, and gratitude. It’s a time to honour the Sun, reflect on what’s grown in your life so far this year, and set intentions for what you want to bloom next.

Ways to celebrate Litha:
• Watch the sunrise or sunset and give thanks to the Sun
• Light a candle or bonfire to honour solar energy
• Make flower crowns or decorate your space with summer blooms
• Work with crystals like sunstone, citrine, or carnelian
• Charge water or tools in sunlight (solar charging magic ☀️)
• Spend time outdoors barefoot, connecting with the Earth

June is Scoliosis Awareness Month 🌿

This is my spine.

As a teenager, I underwent spinal fusion surgery due to scoliosis. Looking at this X-ray now, it's easy to focus on the metalwork and the curve, but what it reminds me of most is something people often don't see.

From the outside, many of us look absolutely fine. What people don't see are the years of adapting, compensating, managing tension, fatigue and learning to live in a body that works a little differently.

That's one of the reasons creating a calm, supportive treatment space is so important to me. Sometimes people don't need fixing. Sometimes they simply need a place to rest, soften and feel comfortable in their body for a while 🌙
