💜 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT | WEST LOTHIAN WELLBEING HUBS 💚

For our latest Community Spotlight, we’re shining a light on the West Lothian Wellbeing Hubs — local services offering short-term support to adults experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health difficulties.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood or depression, stress, feeling overwhelmed or low confidence, you don’t have to manage everything on your own.

🌱 What support can the Hubs offer?

💬 Emotional support
🎯 Working towards personal goals
💜 Therapies to support your wellbeing
🪧 Practical advice and signposting to other services
🌿 Wellbeing and self-help support
👥 Support with social connection, volunteering or work

Support is short-term, usually around 6–8 sessions, and is focused on helping you work towards your own goals, build confidence and find ways to support your wellbeing moving forward.

📍 There are two Wellbeing Hubs in West Lothian:

Livingston – St John’s Hospital
Howden South Road, Livingston, EH54 6PP

Boghall/Bathgate – LVIGP Wellbeing Hub
4 South Bridge Street, Bathgate, EH48 1TS

🩺 How do I access support?

Your GP can signpost you to the Wellbeing Hub. If you’re not sure whether the service is right for you, call or visit your GP, who can help you find the support that best fits your needs.

💚 AND YOU CAN MEET THE TEAM!

The Wellbeing Hubs will also be joining us at West Lothian Mental Health Day! 🎉

Come along, meet the team, have a chat and find out more about the support available in our local community.

📅 Monday 12th October
📍 Strathbrock Partnership Centre, Broxburn
⏰ 10am–2pm

Everyone is welcome. 💜💚

❤️‍🩹International overdose Remembrance Day ❤️‍🩹

Overdose deaths have increased
significantly over the last 20 years
around the world

An overdose occurs when a person
has more of a drug (or multiple drugs)
in their body than the body can cope

Overdose deaths are mostly driven by
the misuse of opioids, often in
combination with other drugs including
benzodiazepines, stimulants and
alcohol

All drugs can cause an overdose,
including medication prescribed by a
doctor

Overdoses can be both fatal and non-
fatal.

❤️‍🩹
Hearing that someone has died from an overdose is incredibly difficult, particularly when you have worked closely with them and supported them over time.

For staff, every death is a painful reminder of how important our work is and why we must continue to strive to provide the best possible care, support and harm-reduction interventions to help prevent further deaths.

Today, we are thinking about the families, friends and loved ones who are left behind. The impact of a death reaches far beyond the person we have lost, and grief can be overwhelming.

If you have been affected by a bereavement or are struggling following a drug-related death, please remember that support is available locally.
You do not have to face it alone.

Please reach out and seek the support that is there for you.
