Such a lovely surprise to come home to today. I feel truly humbled to receive these beautiful flowers after the service for a remarkable lady earlier this week.

Our Charity Ceilidh is next Saturday, 7th of February at Bathgate Royal British Legion. We still have a handful of tickets left for anyone who wants to join us for a burl around the dance floor.

Today is Rabbie Burns day, I thought I'd share one of my favourite poems to read at a service "Epitaph On My Own Friend" by Rabbie Burns.
It's one of his lesser well-known poems, his words about living well, kindness and integrity are timeless.

Christmas can be a difficult time for many.

For families who have lost someone they love, the season can feel heavier, especially when this is the first Christmas without them. Traditions feel different, and empty spaces are felt more deeply.

To the families I have had the privilege of supporting this year, please know that your loved one is remembered, and that you are held in my thoughts at this time.

There is no right or wrong way to feel, and no expectation to “celebrate” if your heart isn’t ready. Be gentle with yourselves, and take this season at your own pace.

Today we remember all who served, and those who still carry the memories of loved ones lost.

I was chatting to a couple after the service I did yesterday, the lady turned to her husband and said, “This is the lady I’d like to do my funeral.”

What a compliment. Moments like that remind me why I do what I do. Helping families honour their loved ones in a way that feels personal, comforting, and true to them.

It's been a busy week, 6 services since last Monday. I honestly feel so lucky to have carried out all the services I have since I started on this journey. Time for a cheeky wee holiday though 😎

Today I had the privilege of leading my first service at Falkirk Crematorium.
It's a place I visited many times during my training, so returning now as a celebrant felt like a meaningful milestone.
I was honoured to support a really lovely family as they said goodbye to a much-loved son, brother and uncle. It's always a privilege to be trusted with their stories and to help reflect a life that meant so much 💕💕
