MARION'S STORY | FINAL PART

When I asked Marion what this journey had meant to her...

She paused for a moment.

Then she smiled.

And said:

"It's proved that I'm not on the junk heap."

I don't think I could ever say it better than that.

This isn't a story about reversing ageing.

It's about refusing to accept unnecessary decline.

It's about discovering that your body is still capable of improving.

Still capable of adapting.

Still capable of becoming stronger.

Marion also had one piece of advice for anyone who's hesitating...

"I would totally understand being hesitant... but I would encourage people to try it."

If you could have asked Marion before she started whether she'd one day lose over three and a half stone, become stronger, regain confidence and inspire hundreds of other people...

She probably wouldn't have believed you.

Sometimes all it takes is taking that first step.

If you've been thinking about making a change but aren't sure where to start...

I'd love to help.

Because no matter your age...

There is still more in you than you think.

💚 Movement really can heal.

MARION'S STORY | PART 4

People often think success means huge transformations.

Sometimes...

Success looks like opening your own jam jar.

Marion told me:

"I can open my own jars now instead of asking my husband."

Strength returned.

Confidence returned.

She moved more freely.

She stopped fearing every ache and pain.

She lost more than 3½ stone.

But the biggest change wasn't on the scales.

It was how she felt about herself.

"It's not a magic wand... but I'm more confident about tackling things."

That confidence spread into every part of her life.

And tomorrow...

I'll share the one sentence Marion said that I'll never forget.

MARION'S STORY | PART 3

Marion will laugh about this now...

But when she walked into her first exercise session she thought:

"This is ridiculous."

We were sitting in chairs.

Using resistance bands.

Nothing looked particularly difficult.

She honestly wondered how this could possibly help.

Then she went home.

"It absolutely took it out of me."

She was exhausted.

Not because the exercises were extreme.

Because they were exactly what her body needed.

That moment wasn't discouraging.

It was revealing.

She realised just how much strength she'd quietly lost.

From that day on...

She kept coming back.

One session at a time.

One small improvement at a time.

Tomorrow I'll tell you about the first signs that everything was beginning to change.

MARION'S STORY | PART 2

Sometimes it isn't a dramatic event that changes your life.

Sometimes it's a doorstep.

One day Marion was carrying logs into the house.

She'd done it hundreds of times before.

She reached the step...
..and couldn't lift her leg high enough to get inside.

She tried again.

Nothing.

Again.

Still nothing.

Eventually she put the logs down.

Without the extra weight...

She stepped up with ease.

"That was an eye opener."

It wasn't just about carrying logs.

It was the first time she truly realised her body wasn't coping the way it used to.

That single moment changed everything.

Tomorrow...

I'll tell you why Marion thought my exercise class was completely ridiculous.

(And yes... she told me exactly that! 😂)

💚 Movement really can heal.

MARION'S STORY | PART 1

"I didn't feel old."

At nearly 80 years old, Marion never thought of herself as elderly.

She had spent years raising a family, working hard and living an active life.

Then retirement arrived.

Without really noticing, life became quieter.

Movement became less frequent.

The days became more sedentary.

"I had just become this old person that didn't need to do anything... I took the lazy road."

She still pottered around the house.

She did the shopping.

A bit of gardening.

But the body that had carried her through life was slowly becoming weaker.

Her knees hurt.

Her balance wasn't what it used to be.

She found herself relying on a walking stick again after an old injury.

The biggest change wasn't physical.

It was confidence.

It had quietly slipped away.

The frightening thing is...

This doesn't happen overnight.

It happens so gradually that we often don't notice until one day we realise we've stopped doing the things we once loved.

Tomorrow I'll tell you about the moment that changed everything for Marion.

💚 Movement really can heal.

**✨ Meet Grace...**

Just two weeks ago, Grace got in touch after seeing my post looking for Biomechanics Case Study participants.

She was struggling with discomfort in her hip, and her leg would unexpectedly give way when she was walking. Even short distances were becoming a worry because she never knew when it might happen.

Like many people I work with, Grace also had a history of old injuries. While those injuries had healed, they had changed the way her body moved over time, creating compensations and muscle dysfunction elsewhere.

After carrying out a full-body biomechanics assessment, we identified where her body wasn't functioning as it should. From there, I created a personalised programme of corrective exercises designed to restore function to the muscles that needed it most.

**Just TWO weeks later, here's what Grace has noticed...**

✨ Walking downstairs is much easier.
✨ Her pain has reduced significantly.
✨ She's sleeping better because she's no longer being woken by pain during the night.
✨ Instead of her leg collapsing unexpectedly, she's only experienced two very minor episodes where it felt slightly unstable.

Even more encouraging, when I reassessed her pelvis this week, the movement tests showed measurable improvements too.

We're not finished yet. The next stage is to build strength in the areas that are still weak so these improvements become long-lasting.

But after just **two weeks**, these are incredibly encouraging results.

This is why I love biomechanics. Sometimes it's not about working harder—it's about helping your body move the way it was designed to.

If you're living with aches, pains, recurring injuries or feel like your body just isn't working as it should, I'd love to help you discover why.

📩 Send me a message to find out how Biomechanics Coaching could help you move with more confidence and less pain.

Lovely message to receive today!!

Just thought I’d let you know, one of my choir friends, mentioned how much he enjoys your encouragement in classes at the gym and said that a couple of times when someone else took it,”it just wasn’t the same”. You have more impact on people’s lives than you know x
