Meet the Founders
Rakan Zabian is a data scientist who loves philosophy and martial arts. He’s worked on complex AI problems from drone optimisation to gesture recognition throughout his academic journey, having also had experience in consulting firms and an AI powered startup. After graduating from his Data Science MSc, he joined a startup accelerator where he met Nessrin.
Nessrin Younes is a behavioural scientist who loves reading, board games and Formula 1. She began her journey in psychology and behavioural science research before choosing to work in NHS mental healthcare and a digital health startup. She merges all of these experiences as well as her lived experience of being a young person struggling for years with her mental health to help innovate and create a new system for mental healthcare through her work in Oryx.
They are so excited to be going on this journey together and combining data science and psychology to create innovative solutions that can support young people through some of life's toughest periods.
