Trekstock Cancer Support

Trekstock Cancer Support We are the go-to place for trusted exercise and mental wellbeing support for people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s living with and beyond cancer. Charity No 1132421

Trekstock is a youth cancer charity. In the UK, over 140,000 people are living with the effects of cancer. We aim to support them through and beyond treatment. We work closely with the young adults we support to ensure that regardless of where they are in their own cancer journey, Trekstock can offer relevant physical, emotional and practical support.

Our award-winning exercise programme has shown, time and time again, that movement can change lives. Getting back into movement after a cancer diagnosis can ease treatment side effects, improve your mood, help you sleep better and rebuild your confidence and self-esteem.

We know that getting moving again after a cancer diagnosis isn't linear, but so many members of our community have told us they've found strength and resilience along the way, as well as a newfound appreciation for what their bodies can do.

If you're looking for support with getting back into movement, head to the link below to find out about the amazing programmes and resources we have on offer 💛

Cancer doesn't affect everyone in the same way, and neither should the support.

For people in their 20s, 30s and 40s, cancer often comes with challenges that aren't always reflected in the care and services available. Careers, relationships, young families, fertility, finances and plans for the future can all be turned upside down.

Something we hear again and again from people in our community is how much it helps to meet others who just get it. Finding others who understand the realities of cancer at this stage of life can make a real difference to mental wellbeing, helping you feel seen, heard and less alone.

We're here to help anyone in their 20s, 30s and 40s find connection, understanding and practical guidance as they navigate life with and beyond cancer.

Head to the link in our bio to explore our advice, events, programmes and support.

We're so moved by Archie Goodburn's emotional plea today on .

In the UK, brain tumour research only receives a small percentage of total national cancer research spending, even though it's the biggest cancer killer of children and young adults under 40. We hear from people across our community that they feel overlooked, with inequalities in care across diagnosis, access to care and support through and after treatment.

If we're serious about improving outcomes, we need a cancer system that works better for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s. That's why Trekstock exists.

You can come to us for exercise and mental wellbeing support and advice, as well as community events and workshops designed to support you through and beyond cancer, because no one should experience cancer alone. You can find out more about the support we offer at the link in our bio under 'Get Support'.

If you've had a brain tumour diagnosis, specialised support is also available from Tessa Jowell Foundation, The Brain Tumour Charity and Brain Tumour Support, as well as Cancer52 for support for rare and less common cancers.

If you're in your 20s, 30s and 40s living with cancer, we know that hospital treatment spaces can be isolating, often designed with patients at very different stages of life in mind.

That's why we created the Sanctuary Room at University College London Hospital, the first space like it in the UK. It's somewhere younger people with cancer can decompress, spend time with the people they love, and just feel a little bit more like themselves for a while. It's a calm, restorative haven; a place in the hospital that's the antithesis of a clinical ward.

We hope it will be the first of many.

You can find the Sanctuary Room on T13N at University College London Hospital at 235 Euston Rd, London NW1 2BU.

Head to our website for more info.

"It's only when I actually started to really see the value in food and nutrition, and the joy that food can bring, that I really started to appreciate myself."

For people like , cancer doesn't just change your body - it changes how you see it. Regaining that connection is often about finding moments of control and confidence again, at a time when so much feels out of your hands.

For people in their 20s, 30s and 40s in particular, building a positive relationship with food can be transformative for mental wellbeing and self-esteem - not just physical health.

Explore our Food & Cancer Guide for accessible, evidence-based advice on nutrition and cancer. You can find the link in our bio.

Finishing treatment doesn't mean finishing the journey: sometimes the hardest part is working out who you are afterwards, and what comes next.

That's the "new normal" nobody warns you about. It's why Trekstock exists: to help people in their 20s, 30s and 40s find their feet again, so no one has to to figure it out alone.

What helped you most on your journey?
