At The London Podiatry Centre, we carried out advanced scientific testing on TOETOE socks using 3D motion analysis and pressure-mapping technology.

Compared with a standard sock, the results showed clear improvements in overall foot function, including better gait efficiency, better pressure distribution, and more natural movement of the big toe.

Why does that matter? Because the big toe plays a key role in normal walking. It helps the foot absorb load, stabilise, and create an efficient push-off.

It is a great example of how even a small design change can have a meaningful effect on how the foot moves, loads and performs.

Meet Dr Andrew Collinson, our clinical sports biomechanist at The London Podiatry Centre.

Andrew works with advanced gait and movement data to help us assess how people walk, load and move. This kind of analysis can be useful for pain, injury risk, rehabilitation and performance.

It is one of the ways we combine expert people with advanced technology to understand movement more clearly.

Many people think routine podiatry is simply a nail trim, but it can be much more helpful than that.

A routine appointment may include a foot health check, nail care, callus and corn removal, cracked heel care, skin treatment, plus advice on footwear and looking after your feet at home.

It is a practical way to stay comfortable and pick up problems early.

At The London Podiatry Centre, we believe footwear should be judged by more than how it looks or feels — it should be assessed objectively.

In our Harley shoe test for Harrys London we used advanced gait and pressure analysis to evaluate how the shoe performed in motion.

What stood out was the reduction in forefoot and heel pressure compared with a high end luxury loafer, showing how thoughtful design and objective testing can come together in a meaningful way.

This is exactly what matters to us at TLPC: combining clinical expertise, advanced technology and hard data to understand how footwear affects the way people move.

That “pebble in your shoe” feeling is something we hear a lot from patients with Morton’s neuroma.

Common signs can include burning pain in the forefoot, tingling, numbness between the toes and symptoms that worsen in tighter footwear or when walking.

The important thing is not to guess. The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis.

After years of trying different treatments for Morton’s neuroma without lasting relief, one of our patients is now back to running with, for the most part, no pain.

At The London Podiatry Centre, we see many patients who have already tried orthotics, physio, injections or footwear changes before coming to us.

For Alex D, two rounds of cryosurgery made a real difference.

“As an avid marathon runner this is quite life changing.”

If ongoing forefoot pain is affecting how you walk, run or train, it may be time to get it properly assessed.
If Morton’s neuroma is affecting how you walk, work or exercise, our team can assess your options properly and talk you through the next step.

At The London Podiatry Centre, we use a 3-part approach to fungal nail treatment:

1. Precise nail reduction
2. PCR testing + targeted topical treatment
3. Lunula laser treatment

This gives a more complete approach to fungal nail care, combining careful preparation, targeted treatment and advanced technology.

Painless. No heat. No downtime.

If it needs walking, we can test it.

Not all footwear performs the same once you start moving.

At The London Podiatry Centre, we assess footwear in motion using real movement, pressure analysis and gait data to understand how shoes function when they are actually worn.

From men’s formal shoes to women’s flats, if it needs walking, we can test it.

Because better decisions about footwear should be based on more than appearance alone.
