Doctor Selwyn has now retired. After 38 years at Willow Tree Family Doctors he has finally hung up his stethoscope.
Many of our patients will have known him all their lives and he is sad not to have been able to say a personal "goodbye" to everyone. He has been on sabbatical for the past 3 months and also less available prior to that due to winding down, so in order to partly redress this deficiency, he has made a video presentation which can be accessed here https://vimeo.com/1025892418

National RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine programme protecting infants and elderly - will save lives and hospitalisations in the UK.

The UK is the first country in the world to offer a national vaccination programme that uses the same vaccine to protect both infants and older adults from RSV and will help ease winter pressures on the NHS.

RSV causes colds and other respiratory infections. Most children get it at least once before the age of two, as any parent will know! In younger infants and older people it can cause more serious problems such as bronchiolitis in the young and pneumonia in the old.

The rollout, which will start from 1 September in England, includes both a vaccine for pregnant women over 28 weeks to help protect their newborn babies, a routine programme for those over 75, and a one-off campaign for people aged 75 to 79.

Eligible people urged to take up offer when rollout begins in September - you will be called up.

We have a backlog and are dealing with urgent problems so unless your problem is urgent for today, please try and wait until next week. If we cannot help today or your problem worsens over the weekend please can try 111. Thank you for your patience. It's been really tough day for everyone.

Due to the global computer emergency we have no access to the computer medical record system. We can only safely deal with urgent problems until this is fixed. We can’t issue electronic prescriptions, request or look up tests, make referrals etc. we are operating a skeleton service without records. Patch’s is working but unless urgent we cannot respond today. Our phone system is working normally. Hopefully this emergency will be fixed soon.

New free London Healthy Living resource. Healthy lifestyles are probably more powerful determinants of your healthy longevity than the stuff us doctors peddle. The problem is we're often trying to repair the damage done by the unhealthy lives our patients have lived and the damage their poor bodies and minds have accrued! Our modern lifestyle does us immense harm and evidence is now growing as to how we should live. there is, of course a huge industry of media, commerce and personalities telling us this stuff and it is hard to tease out the real evidence-based material from the fiction. this new website is a good, pragmatic start...to a new you!
