Today is a MOMENTOUS day! 🥳
Today is the 20 year anniversary of something that signalled the biggest ever turning point in my life.
20 years exactly at the time of writing this (10:15am).
I left the house at about 10:10 and walked down the back road towards the station, cigarette in hand, not quite believing that this would be the last cigarette I had – ever.
And at 10:15 on 29th November 2005 I stubbed it out, and caught the tube into town.
Less that 2 hours later I was standing in New Cavendish Street, looking up at the traffic lights and noticing how bright everything was. I’ll never forget that exact moment.
I breathed in and just *knew* I would never smoke again.

That may not seem such a big deal to you, and to be honest, I myself had no idea of what this would mean for the rest of my life at the time, and how it signalled my very last couple of years working in Investment Banking IT...
.. and the start of a life dedicated to helping others shift their own lives.
And so it begun. My ‘need to understand what’s going on under the bonnet’ mind would never be satisfied until I had trained in hypnotherapy myself – after all, how could that switch have happened so suddenly and so permanently?
It didn’t make sense and I needed to know why..
By 2007 I was a qualified hypnotherapist.
Not satisfied with that, I needed to know how exactly did the mind work in addiction? (ni****ne addiction in my case?),
and before I knew it I had gone back to Uni to understand more of the nature of the neuroscience of addiction and my specialist addiction practice was born.
💜🩷 My life has changed beyond recognition since, moving into teaching, training and mentoring other therapists and healing practitioners,
my mission has become to be part of raising the level of excellence in the field, and to support those therapists and healing practitioners who do amazing things in the world, while still maintaining my own healing and therapy practice.
