Anemoia: That feeling of strong connection to an experience we haven’t (knowingly) lived..

A neologist term coined by author John Koenig for his book, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows.

Using roots from Ancient Greek language, Koenig combines ἄνεμος (ánemos), wind + νόος (nóos), mind.

Have you ever had this feeling before? Connected to a place or era before your time?

Stars…It’s all I can think about today.
Did you know that we are mostly made of stardust?

The carbon in our skin, the oxygen we breathe, the calcium in our bones and even the iron in our blood were all created billions of years ago in the hearts of ancient stars before being scattered across the universe.

Pictures above are of the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds, neighbouring galaxies where stars are still being born today. They even have cosmic nurseries (I mean how cute is that name alone☺️)! Last picture is how they look to the naked eye from Australia, you lucky ones!

Tonight we celebrate the The Fragrance Foundation UK Awards, for which I am a finalist as a rising star.

We’re all made of stars anw, so whatever will be will be (but maybe keep your fingers crossed for us)✨✨✨✨

Five lush petals swirled together, a bright yellow centre luring pollinators closer, and the sunniest nectar a night-blooming flower could possess.. this is FRANGIPANI, aka plumeria, and one of the main flowers behind our FORBIDDEN BLOOM.

In our latest blog we explore the Olfactive properties of this flower and how a message from my Colombian friend inspired the start of this perfume. (2nd picture is from her farm 😊)

Oh Paris Paris ✨

It was a total whirlwind but oh my we enjoyed every minute of it. I don’t think people realise the impact they can have on others, I was very touched but the energy and actions of many beautiful souls, old friends and new.

Thank you for making the time to visit our booth, discover our brand, and connect with our perfumes.

FINALIST as a Rising Star in 🥹⭐️

From dreaming of the moon with my first fragrance Lunar Dust to being a finalist as a Rising Star in the industry 3 years later… they weren’t lying when they said shoot for the moon and you might land among the stars ☺️

Heartfelt thank you to each and everyone that has supported our journey so far and congrats to all the finalists ♥️
