Shockwave Therapy, also referred to as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-surgical and non-invasive technology that delivers sound waves to aid recovery for a number of common musculoskeletal conditions. Shockwaves are high-energy, audible sound waves. In medicine, shockwaves have been used for over 3 decades to treat many medical conditions, including the dissolution of kidney stones.

For orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, shockwaves are transmitted to the area to accelerate healing. Mr Peter Domos recently presented on "The Painful Shoulder" at the Spire Bushey GP Hospital webinar series. This was very well attended with over 60 GPs present.

Mr Peter Domos has been invited to be part of the faculty of the upcoming SECEC-ESSSE congress from the 7-9th of September. He is an expert in all things shoulder surgery and will be speaking on the latarjet procedure and improving shoulder stability.

Our consultants regularly hold regular meetings which helps us:
- Optimise patient care by discussing difficult cases which can benefit from the collective wisdom of the entire group
- Plan dual consultant operating sessions for difficult procedures to ensure patients receive the safest care
- Discuss governance within the group to uphold our high standards
- Plan our charity events and group educational meetings
