The more complex the case, the more important the markings become.

This is a challenging arm lift case at UKSKIN. Significant fatty tissue alongside excess skin means this is not a straightforward skin only brachioplasty. The surgical plan involves VASERlipo to address the underlying fat with precision before skin reduction, and the markings here are doing the critical work of mapping out exactly how that plan translates onto the patient’s arm.

Pre operative markings for an arm lift define the incision line, the amount of skin to be excised, the scar placement along the inner arm and the zones targeted for liposuction. In a complex case with substantial tissue volume, getting those markings right is particularly important. Remove too little and the result is underwhelming. Remove too much and the closure is compromised. The markings are where surgical judgement and anatomical knowledge become visible before the procedure even begins.
