Sometimes the compliments we need most are the ones we’ve never received.

The ones that remind us that being the strong one doesn’t mean you have to carry everything on your own.

That being sensitive doesn’t mean you’re “too much.”

That you don’t have to earn rest, love, support, or softness by proving how capable you are first.

If you saw yourself in this post, I want you to know this:

You don’t need to be falling apart to deserve help.

I work with women in their 20s and 30s who look like they’re coping on the outside but inside are exhausted from overthinking, people-pleasing, carrying the weight of everyone else, and never quite feeling “good enough.”

Therapy isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about understanding you.
It’s about finally giving yourself the same compassion you offer everyone else.

✨ I currently have space for a small number of new clients.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence about therapy, maybe this is your sign.

We worry so much about being judged, rejected, misunderstood.

But often the loudest voice in that fear… is already inside us.

The way you see yourself becomes the filter for how you assume others see you.

And that can quietly shape your relationships, confidence, and sense of belonging.

You don’t need to become “less sensitive” or “less you” to feel better in the world.

You need a softer relationship with yourself first.

If this resonates, you’re not alone in it.
And you don’t have to untangle it by yourself.

This is the work I support clients with, helping you understand and shift these patterns at the root.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation for new clients if you’d like to explore working together. Link in bio to start today 🔗

What do I need right now?

Not what everyone else needs from me.
Not what I think I should be doing.
Not what would make me look productive.

Just… what do I need?

It’s such a simple question, but it’s one we often forget to ask ourselves.

We get caught up in work, responsibilities, relationships, expectations, and before we know it, we’re running on autopilot. Pushing through. Ignoring the signs that we’re tired, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply craving a moment to breathe.

Journaling gives me a space to slow down long enough to listen.

Some days the answer is rest.
Some days it’s connection.
Some days it’s movement, boundaries, honesty, or a good cry.

The goal isn’t to have all the answers.

The goal is to create enough space to hear yourself.

So if you’ve been feeling stuck lately, take a few minutes today and ask yourself:

✨ What do I need right now? ✍️💭

I’d love to know what comes up for you in the comments.

If you’re looking for support to better understand yourself, break old patterns, and reconnect with who you are, I offer a free 30-minute consultation for new therapy clients. My link is in my bio.

I’m a therapist supporting adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, self-doubt, relationship patterns, or unresolved experiences from the past.

Most of the people I work with aren’t looking for someone to “fix” them, they’re looking for space to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of their patterns, and start feeling more grounded in who they are.

In our work together, we gently explore what’s been shaped by past experiences, how this shows up in your present (especially in relationships, self-worth, and anxiety), and what needs to shift so life feels more manageable and more aligned with you.

I don’t believe therapy is about rushing or forcing change.

It’s more about building awareness, emotional safety, and the tools to respond to life in a way that feels steadier and more self-connected.

At The Flawed Journey, my aim is to offer a space where you can feel understood, not judged, and supported in untangling what’s been weighing you down for a while.

If you’re reading this and it resonates with where you’re at right now, you’re welcome to reach out.

I used to think becoming a “better version of myself” would feel empowering and confident but honestly a lot of it felt uncomfortable.

It looked like overthinking, questioning myself, outgrowing people and habits I once felt attached to and realising how often I was shrinking myself just to feel accepted, liked or understood.

For a long time I cared too much about what people thought of me.

I made myself smaller in rooms where I should’ve taken up space. I watered down parts of myself, stayed quiet when I had something to say and abandoned myself in ways I didn’t even realise I was doing at the time.

And eventually I just got tired of it.

Tired of performing. Tired of editing myself. Tired of feeling like I had to be more digestible to be accepted.

Caring less about being perceived a certain way and caring more about feeling genuine, honest and free in who I am.

And I realised nothing dramatic changed overnight but I wasn’t the same person anymore either.

If you’re in that space right now where you can feel yourself changing, outgrowing old patterns and stepping into a different version of yourself but it still feels messy and unfamiliar, you’re probably growing more than you realise 🤍

If this resonated with you and you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, I offer a free 30-minute consultation for new clients. A space for us to chat, explore what’s been going on for you and see if I feel like the right fit to support you.

You imagined life would look different by now.

Maybe you thought by this point you’d have bought the house, got married, had children and felt more settled and certain about your future.

Instead, maybe you’ve moved home.
Lived abroad and come back feeling like everyone else carried on without you.
Maybe a relationship ended and suddenly life looked nothing like the version you had planned in your head.

And now you’re rebuilding.
Again.

Whilst quietly wondering how everyone else seems to have it figured out.

I think one of the hardest parts about your 20s and 30s is the pressure. The invisible timelines. The comparison. Feeling like you’re somehow behind because your life doesn’t look the way you thought it would.

I see this so often in my clients that I work with.
People carrying grief for the life they imagined they’d have by now.

Not because they’re ‘behind’ but because being human means we picture things. We create timelines. We dream.
And when life changes direction unexpectedly, it can feel unsettling, lonely and sometimes even shameful.

But rebuilding your life isn’t failure.

Starting over doesn’t erase everything you’ve learned, survived or become.

Some chapters aren’t about having it all together.

Some chapters are about finding yourself again.

🤍 If this resonates, know you’re not the only one figuring it out as you go.

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

Most people don’t say it out loud, but a lot of life gets shaped by this one thought: “What if they judge me?”

So we hold back. We edit ourselves. We stay smaller than we actually are.

But here’s the thing I come back to again and again in therapy and in my own life… people will have opinions anyway. About how you look, how you move, how you live your life.

And most of the time, it says more about them than it ever does about you.

So you get to choose what you do with that reality.

Shrink yourself to avoid discomfort… or take up space anyway.

⚡️ Be seen in motion !!! 🩷

Some of you will follow me.
Some of you will unfollow me.

And honestly, I’m okay with both.

Because I’m not trying to be for everyone.
I don’t sell the idea that healing is quick or tidy.
I don’t believe anxiety disappears because you found the “right” routine, mindset, or product.

And I’m not here to pretend life is perfectly sorted just because I’m a therapist.

I am a therapist…
but I’m also human.
I’m in therapy myself.

I still have days where I doubt myself.
I still move through messy seasons.
I’m still learning, constantly.
And I think that’s important to say that out loud.

Because healing, from what I’ve seen and experienced, isn’t about becoming a “perfectly healed” version of yourself.

It’s about understanding yourself more deeply.
Noticing your patterns instead of shaming them.

Learning how to sit with yourself in the harder moments.
And slowly building a relationship with who you are.
Not rushing it. Not fixing it. Not bypassing it.

So if you’re here for something real…
for grounded conversations about anxiety, self-worth, trauma, and what it actually looks like to grow as a human, you’re in the right place 🤍

I ran a half marathon yesterday 🏃‍♀️

And honestly… it wasn’t just a physical challenge.

I started this training in a really tough season of life, the kind you don’t really talk about publicly, you just quietly get through.

Somewhere along the way, the runs became more than exercise. They became structure when everything felt uncertain.

A way to stay mentally steady when things felt heavy.
A reminder that I could keep going, even when I didn’t feel like myself.

And yesterday, crossing that finish line felt like something bigger than running.

It felt like movement through a season I didn’t think I’d get through as smoothly as I did.

I kept thinking about younger me, the version of me who learned resilience far too early, before she had language for it. And I know she would be proud 🥺🤍

We talk so much in therapy about “resilience”…
But it’s rarely loud or aesthetic.

Sometimes it’s just showing up when life feels heavy.
And continuing quietly anyway.

Struggling behind the scenes is part of being human.
And I don’t share this because I’ve got it all figured out…
but because I don’t.
Just like you, I’m figuring it out too 🫶✨

If you’re in a season that feels like endurance right now. I see you !!!!

And if you’re struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or self-doubt and want support, I offer free 30-minute consultation calls. Link in bio 🤍
