So many of us are walking around switched on all the time, even when we are running on fumes. Our bodies have forgotten how to access deep rest easily.

A sound bath works differently to sitting and trying to meditate. You do not have to empty your mind or get it right. You just lie down and let the sound do the settling for you.

If you are in Orpington or Chislehurst and any of this feels familiar, come back tomorrow. Something gentle is on its way.

A sound bath isn’t what most people expect. You’re not sitting cross-legged trying to meditate perfectly or empty your mind. You walk in, you find a comfortable spot on the floor - blanket, pillow, however you need to be and you simply lie down or sit comfortably and let the sound do what it does.

I’ll be honest for a long time I thought sound baths were simply a beautiful way to slow down and find some stillness. And they are that. But the more I trained, the more I understood that what’s happening underneath that stillness is extraordinary. The frequencies produced by these instruments don’t just wash over you - they interact with your body at a cellular level, influencing your nervous system, your brainwaves, your breath. The science behind it is something I find myself returning to again and again, because every time I do, I’m struck by the same thing. It’s simply magical.

What I create is layered and textured. There are gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, drums - instruments that each carry their own frequency, their own quality, their own way of landing in the body. It’s never the same twice. Not because I haven’t prepared but because something I was taught early in my training has stayed with me - freedom within the discipline (thanks .wheater_ and .sanson ) I come in with intention, with structure, with care. And then I listen. To the room, to the energy and to what’s needed in that moment.

That’s the part that’s hard to put into words. The frequencies move through you. People find themselves releasing things they didn’t even know they were holding - tension in the jaw, a tightness in the chest, emotions that surface quietly and then settle. Some people feel deeply still. Some feel moved. Some fall asleep within minutes and wake up feeling like something has shifted.

None of it requires you to do anything right. You just have to show up.

She taught me, indirectly, to do what’s right for me. So this is me stepping into a part of me that’s always been there, unexpressed.

None of this would have taken shape the way it has without my teachers .wheater_ and .sanson .They are complete masters in their field and their energy, generosity and trust has left a mark I’ll carry into every session I hold. I’ll talk more about them properly soon but for now, just know that the foundations of this work have been built in really beautiful hands.
