What have we really achieved? Who has really benefitted?

29/09/2026

Did we really improve our culture? Or did we just create a culture that pushes women to disclose their deepest traumas and abuses, only to then immediately use them against them, call them delusional and malicious, and frame them all as mentally ill for profit and social control?

This is how we keep failing children who are trying to disclose abuse to professionals - there are basic misunderstandings and misconceptions of what that evidence will look and sound like from children.

If you truly love someone and cherish them, you recognise that many other people would also love and cherish them - and likely already do.

There is nothing romantic or respectful about convincing your partner that no one else will ever love them or want them.

About my last post - let’s talk about the outrage that perpetrators might be pathologised…

25/09/2026

This is your reminder that psychiatry has spent over 100 years inventing mental disorders for abused women but has never once invented one for rapists or abusers.

There is no ‘rapist disorder’.
There is no ‘child abuser disorder’.
There is no ‘stalker disorder’.
There is no ‘domestic abuser disorder’.

But psychiatrists did invent false memory syndrome, implanted memories, persecutory delusions, hysteria, histrionic personality disorder, battered woman syndrome, stockholm syndrome, parental alienation syndrome, BPD, and EUPD.

We are not angry enough.

Follow all of my socials to learn all about pathologisation, psychology and psychiatry from a critical lens.

What if I told you that your trauma, abuse, and distress has been pathologised into mental disorders you never had in order to locate the problem within your brain instead of within the people or society that harmed you?

What if I told you that this led you to believe you were broken and incurable with some invisible ‘mental illness’ whilst your abusers carried on unscathed?

I am an anti-pathology psychologist. I validate the trauma, the abuse, and the reasons for suffering - I do not support the use of ‘mental disorders’ or psychiatry at all.

We must remember that the medical model of mental health is just a theory, it’s just a lens. We don’t need to use it. We don’t need to subscribe to it. We can work through our feelings, behaviours and traumas without pathologising them into mental illnesses, personality disorders and supposed chemical imbalances in the brain.

We also need to look at the impact of pathologisation on the victim - because their mental health will be used against them when they disclose.

If you resonate with any of this, I have free resources, endless social media posts on this topic, a free blog with all my articles and I see clients 1:1, and I advocate and provide expert support in legal cases of pathologisation of abuse victims too.

Always.
